Glad it is Friday!

My day is winding down, and it feels good, knowing it is Friday!  Of course, we have a busy weekend ahead, but a fun weekend.  More about that on Sunday.  I probably won't get a post in tomorrow (Saturday), since we will be traveling down to Naples, and then going out.

I found the error in my bank reconciliation.  I had transposed a couple of numbers.  Duh!  It really did jump out at me today.  Just needed to put some space between me and the papers, I guess.  That's done, thank goodness!!

The Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting/Dinner last night was very nice.  The meal was good!  A delicious tomato and feta salad, beef roast, scalloped potatoes and asparagus.  Dessert was either chocolate cake or cheesecake.  I'm not a big fan of cheesecake, so I enjoyed the chocolate cake.  

The program was done by Florida Southern College, and was excellent.  Students participated, with singing, orchestra, and drama.  The screens you will see in the photo below had film and photos.  It was nice to not have to sit through a speaker, for a change!  It was quite entertaining and educational, too.  The event  started at 5:30, but I didn't go in until about 6:10.  Dinner was at 6:30, with the program after that.  We were done at 8:40.  I am usually in my PJs, thinking about bed at that time, but once in awhile, I guess it's okay to upset my normal routine! LOL

Joe wants to go out for dinner tonight.  Spoke with him earlier today.  He has been very busy with clients this week, and put in a full day yesterday and almost a full day today.  Going out - fine with me!  We will leave around 10:00 in the morning, for Naples, to arrive at 1:00ish.  Kathy asked us to be there for lunch.  We will still get to sleep in a little.  Our neighbor, Ginny, will watch the cats for us.

So, here are a couple of photos, from last night, that I snapped quickly, before people sat down at their tables.  There were around 1,000 people in attendance last night.  We were trying to guess by counting tables, then I asked our waitress, and she said it was 'around 1,000'.  It gets bigger each year!  We have a very active Chamber of Commerce, and a wonderful little city in which to live and work.  I love our Lakeland!!
