I'd rather be what?!!

Well, maybe it's not that bad, yet, but if I can't find the discrepancy in disbursements by noon tomorrow, I may be looking for a feathered fan!!  ;)

Most months, my bank reconciliation is so easy.  Then there is a month like this.  Cash in is fine (thank goodness), it's the cash out this time that is driving me crazy.  I've been through the numbers at least four times.  I know it is just some stupid thing that is right there in front of me, but it's not jumping out yet.  Sigh.

That aside, as I mentioned yesterday, I am going to the Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and dinner tonight.  Parking will be crazy at our civic center, because there is also a George Jones concert going on there tonight (we have a lovely theater, an arena, and several banquet halls)  Link to the Lakeland Center/.  George Jones and Tammy Wynette used to live in Lakeland, back when they were married (in the early 70s) and I think George still has a home here.  I am going over right from work and will find the closest parking spot I can, to save my knees.  I'll just sit in my car and read for 45 minutes or so.  The cocktail hour starts at 5:30, and the dinner at 6:30.  I don't care about drinks, so will hop in around 6:15.  I'm not good at mixing and mingling in a big room full of people.  I'll know many of them, but will still go in as fashionably late as possible.  At least dinner will probably be good.  They have a new company doing the food now, and the last few times I've been there for something, it has been so much better than the usual chicken breast covered in some kind of sauce, with rice and over-cooked veggies.  I'll give you a report in tomorrow's blog.

Thanks to my friends who have been praying for sweet Bella.  I've not heard a report, since the one earlier this morning, on Facebook.  I hope it is going well.  Will be praying for Julie tomorrow.  Thanks again!

I've taken this little break, and will now look at numbers again, before I leave for The Lakeland Center.  Whisper a prayer for me, too, please!!

Wishing you a good evening!  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. Will surely say a prayer that you find the missing link and all will be finished. Enjoy the dinner and will look forward to hearing and/or seeing all about it tomorrow.

  2. I know how you feel. When I used to do the accounting for my building, I'd often spend hours trying to get the accounts to balance, and sometimes it would be just a cent off, but until I found the error... I'm an Arts student anyway.

Sure hope you got a good close parking place and enjoyed your evening.
