I couldn't resist...
Back to musing about the weekend...
Friday was the first gathering of our new small group from church. There were only six of us, but several more expressed an interest in joining. It is for "older" women, and perhaps that's the wrong stigma to attach to it, but we are determined to make it work. Next month, we are going out to eat. It's only once a month and will also include outings now and then.
I think I've been to Publix at least four times this past week, and Saturday found me there to pick up a prescription and a few more BOGO deals. I did some cleaning, including outside, where there are thousands (well, maybe not thousands) of dead lovebugs. Once they mate, the males fall off the female and die. The lovebugs are terrible this month! For those who have never encountered lovebugs...
I was a greeter at church yesterday. Always sweet. Yes, I did my two loads of laundry. My neighbor and friend from across the street, Anne, and her daughter, Mary, came over at 4:00, and we ordered pizza for an early dinner. Anne had never seen the movie Nonnas, so we watched it before they went home. Anne and Mary leave tomorrow for Syracuse, NY. Paul's service will be up there, with family and friends. I will miss her and am glad we had a few hours together last night.
The week ahead is going to be so great!!
Tomorrow, blogging friend Barb and her hubby, Gary, will be here for a visit!! Barb blogs at Journal Memories. We've been 'in-person' friends since February 2019!! We are going to lunch and then will check out downtown, including feeding the swans! Pictures will follow!
On Wednesday, my great-niece Jackie will arrive!! She is an expert on the Cricut, and we will spend at least part of a day giving me lessons!! She wants to take an airboat ride, and she will be here on Saturday for the Mayfaire by-the-Lake (an art festival put on by the art museum where I used to work)!!
Three of my D'Orsaneo great-nieces, Jackie, Lexie, and Nikki
I'm glad you shared Nonna's with someone else. It's so good!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with Gary and Barb and give them our greetings!
It's always nice to have such good things to look forward to each week!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have a wonderful week!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to get together with Barbara and Gary! I'm also glad that Jackie will be visiting with you, too. Terri. Those are three gorgeous young ladies! Still praying for Anne. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI liked that movie too. In fact, I am going to Nona to Mackenzie. You are going to be busy. I think that is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour new group from church sounds wonderful! Eww to all the dead lovebugs. How great to have Barb visiting and your great nice. Have fun with the Cricut!
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, you have a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy lady and a lovely person.
Enjoy your time with friends and family, Terri! Also, thank you for the link to the Lovebugs.
ReplyDeleteBoth Gary and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you spent some time with Anne and Mary before they left. Nonna's was a great pick for them! Enjoy your company in the next few days and I'm looking forward to Mayfaire! Your nieces are beautiful! That is super nice of Jackie to teach you on the Cricut!
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful that Barbara and Gary are coming down to visit you! I am so happy for all of you!!!I know you will have a great time!! And I'm glad you got to spend some time with your friend Anne before she leaves for NY. She's been through so much lately. I am sure she appreciates having you there for a friend and neighbor! And how nice your niece is coming for a visit also! Your little B&B stays pretty busy!! LOL. But I know how much you love having company! One of these days we may surprise you too, (but please don't hold your breath waiting...we sometimes talk up good ideas, but doing them is something else again...) Have a wonderful week with all of your friends and family! We haven't had any lovebugs yet. Maybe they are working their way north! (I hope not. I'm definitely not in love with the love bugs!).
ReplyDeleteSince I took a chance to 'break out' and start our own ladies small 'gathering', it's opened a whole new slice of pleasure in my life. I hope your 'seniors sorority' is all you hope for -- and more!
ReplyDeleteI am glad 6 arrived and you hit it off! I hope you have fun with Barbara and Gary!
