Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 655
I have two wonderful stepsons who were already named when I came into their lives. I do know that Joey is named after his dad, my Joe, and Jeff was named after his mom's favorite actor, Jeffrey Hunter. Their middle names were from their godfathers.
2. A piece of red velvet cake, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a slice of blueberry pie? You can only have one...which will you choose? If you could pick any red, white, or blue dessert other than those listed here, what would you choose?
I will always choose red velvet cake! My mom always made it for my birthday cake and for Christmas dinners. I'll pick cherry pie for my "other than" choice!
3. What's a job you'd like to try for just one day? I've done it, and it was for 20+ years surrounded by art and wonderful co-workers. No need to go back. I love being retired!!
4. Any patriotic decor in your home currently or coming up this summer? I have my summer wreath on the front door. It goes up for Memorial Day and will stay through Labor Day.
5. It's the end of May, so let's exercise our brains. Sum up your month with an acrostic using the word MAY. We can do it!! I always have to ask AI for help!!
6. Insert your own random thought here. Not so random, but I'm having lunch with Cheryl and Susan today, at a new restaurant in our downtown area called Grievous Angel. It is supposed to have great smash-burgers. I'll let you all know!! Thanks for your visit today!! xo
Peace and Hugs!

Gosh that menu looks good, Terri. Wishing you a lovely day, smiles.
ReplyDeleteWe love making smash burgers on the griddle and hope to perfect that this summer. I love your wreath. I love all the red, white, and blue I'm seeing everywhere. My daughter2 always asks for red velvet for her birthday too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of you being a Teresa, I do like the name but Terri is better.
ReplyDeleteSame, I will always choose red velvet cake too!
I hope you have a lovely meal with Cheryl and Susan.
I'll have the red velvet cake with you - yum! And Terri is your name, fits you much better than Teresa. :)
ReplyDeleteThe menu looks good. Have fun!
I think names can be tricky--I never liked my name and used to complain about it when I was in my teens until my Mom told me I hurt my Dad's feelings every time I complained bc he loved it and named me. I still don't feel bonded with my name but I keep it to myself now! lol
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a menu of choices, Terri. Enjoy your lunch with friends today!
ReplyDeleteI'll take a Lutheran with a side of poor man's beignets!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers and yes on #3.
I see "Somewhere in Texas" on the menu, that one has to be GOOD. lol Hope you ladies had a great time.
ReplyDeleteYum! Smash Burgers - can't wait to hear a report!
ReplyDeleteStrange name for a restaurant, but the food looks good. It must have some significance that I don't know about. LOL. Yes, you are a "Terri" for sure!! It suits you perfectly. I will have homemade ice cream on the blueberry pie, although I made a cherry/blueberry cobbler for our picnic on Monday, and it was good except it needed ice cream. I love your door wreath! That is so pretty! I need a patriotic wreath. Right now I just have a small American flag hanging on it. I hope you had a nice lunch today. Happy Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a menu, Terri! Wow! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBoy do I regret all those years I wasted, never having tasted red velvet cake! Your lunch spot menu looks sooo good, and the names so fun. I'll have the Peppercorn Saint, please.
ReplyDeleteI will have red velvet cake with you. Nice to be named after someone who was loved.
ReplyDeleteYour acrostic is GREAT!
