January 23rd: Friday Focus on Feeling Better!

Well, I feel like I might join the living today!  It has been a very long week of coughing, blowing, and feeling awful.  It's been a few years since I had a bad cold like this one, so I am grateful for that.

I went to bed last night at 7:30 and slept through to 5:00 a.m.  Wow.  First time I slept all night this week. I am up, had some coffee, and a little breakfast.  I plan to venture out a bit this morning.  My mailbox is most likely full of junk mail, and Publix Pharmacy says I have a prescription waiting.  That's all I have planned.  I'll see how the rest of the day goes and decide whether I think I can make it through a four-hour prayer workshop at my church tomorrow morning with the women's ministry.  I will not hug anyone or get too close, but don't think I am contagious at this stage.  I am also invited to my friend, Monika's, for dinner tomorrow evening, along with Danon, Mali, and another friend I've not met.  I  have already canceled going and am sorry to miss the fun. Better safe than sorry for me and for them.

Once again, I've fallen behind on reading your posts.  I'll catch up.  Thanks for your prayers and sweet comments!!

Peace and Hugs!!

Jesus loves us, this I know!!

  2. So relieved ... thank you for this update, Terri. Recently two of my Bible study friends were hospitalized and on oxygen from complications of what they called "Christmas crud." I'm glad to hear you're erring on the side of caution!

  4. So glad you are feeling better, but yes, you are wise to not venture out too much just yet. I know that coughing can hit you when you least expect it. Just relax and take it easy, and be prepared for next week, when winter is going to give us another round of cold weather! So happy to see your smiling face today! (((HUGS)))

  6. So sad you are sick. It has been a winter already up this way of sickness. We are hoping that was it for us.

  8. So glad you're doing better! Yay! 😁 I read where we're only contagious the first day of getting infected which means we don't know we're sick yet, so, you're good. I do hope you won't do too much though. Try to rest often and drink lots of fluids. Don't want a relapse. 💙

  10. I'm so glad to know that you're on the mend, Terri! The best thing you can do is still get some rest and avoid close encounters with others that could catch what bug you had. As Sparky advised, keep drinking water!

  11. I think it is a good idea to stay in and rest. And not spreading it to others. I agree. Gee I don't know if I have any photos from 2016.
