January 26th: Monday Musings

There is surely not much to muse about over the past week, but I do feel much better, and the cold is breaking up.  I think the worst is over!  Thanks for the prayers over this past week!

I'm not walking this morning, but I hope to join my walking buddies tomorrow morning. I also have lunch scheduled with Wendy and Suzette tomorrow.  I had to cancel with them last week.  I have a haircut scheduled for Wednesday. Hoping life gets back to normal.

I haven't mentioned my neighbors, Paul and Anne.  I've only talked with Anne on the phone because of cold germs.  Paul got home from the hospital on Tuesday, and the ambulance took him back on Saturday.  Anne was afraid he was going to die.  He was in a bad way.  Neighbors Susan and Sharon were there to help, bless them.  I feel so sad for her and for him. It's a tough time.  If you think about it, lift a prayer for them. She knows I am asking my prayer partners for prayers.

Oh, I guess I should document that, on Monday, before I got sick Monday evening, I cleaned out my closet!  I have so many things that #1 - I don't wear anymore, #2 - are too big now, and #3 - are too old and out of style to even try to wear!  There are two large trash bags, and about 10 things on hangers to donate, waiting in the back of my car for me to decide where they go (including the fancy outfit I wore to Lauren's wedding, which is/was much too big).

That's all the "musing" I've got going on today.  I'm still catching up on your posts and have missed your news! Thanks for stopping by!!

Peace and Hugs!

All hail the power of Jesus' Name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.

  1. I'm so glad you're feeling better. May the healing continue as you rest. I need to go through my closet and drawers to get rid of clothing that are too big for me or too old. That would be a good inside project as the colder weather approaches. God bless. ❤️ 💙

    Good for you on the closet clean out. I did that a few months ago and will have to do it again in the Spring. Feels good!

    Oh no! I am so sorry that Paul wasn't doing well. Thinking of him and of course Anne.
    Good job on cleaning out your closet. I got rid of 2 bags full at the start of the month from mine.

  9. Thanks for this chatty update! Who'd have guessed "normal" would sound so good!
    I'm saddened to learn of Paul's setback. Anne's so fortunate to have you close -- both geographically and in spirit. Prayers!

  13. OH, praying for Paul and Anne. Any update today? Somehow I missed this yesterday. What was I doing? I don't even remember yesterday. LOL. Anyway, I am praying for them both. I am so glad you are better, and I pray that's the last of that!! Good for you for cleaning your closet and taking clothes to places where they can be used by someone else. Our church has a thrift store that serves our community well with used clothing. Although we sell it at a very low low price, we also donate it to people who are truly needy. This reminds me it's time to clean my closet again. Please take care and enjoy the week. It's going to get colder this weekend. Blackie stayed inside last night and will probably stay inside every night this week unless he rebels. LOL. Bye for now. Gotta run to choir practice soon.
