I am writing this on Thursday evening, and all day I kept thinking that tomorrow is Saturday. Fridays come around fast enough without skipping over them completely!!
Today (Friday!), I am off to the Gulf Coast with Susan and Sandy for a girls' day out. We will visit John's Pass and have lunch over there after doing some shopping. We ladies do have fun together, and I count my blessings all the time that Joe and I moved here back in 2017, and that our little neighborhood includes fast friends who are wonderful people. I will have photos to share on Monday!
Yesterday (Thursday), I had lunch with my friend, Cheryl, and her brother, Craig, who is here visiting. We went to Cracker Barrel. It was fun catching up with them. Cheryl paid for my lunch and Craig's. His birthday is next month, a few days before mine, and Cheryl said it was her early birthday gift for both of us. That was nice.
I missed going out with my dinner group last night because I had that late lunch with Cheryl and Craig. They tried a new restaurant, The Peach House, and Judy sent me a message that it was very good and everyone wants to go back. That made me happy, since I suggested it.
On Sunday, I am a greeter at church. I'm on the schedule the first Sunday of every month. Next Sunday, our monthly potlucks will begin again. Tables are set up on the church's veranda, so we don't sit out there when it is so hot. The weather is perfect for it, now. I always take a main dish casserole, but I haven't decided what I will make yet.
It is time to turn the clocks back to standard time! It's nice to get that extra hour of sleep, but it still messes with my head. Happy Halloween, by the way!

Terri, enjoy your outing with your friends.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely day, Terri. I am sending you an email, smiles.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI hate time change, because I'm not a fan of it getting dark so early. But, at least we get that extra hour of sleep. :)
Yes, I am not looking forward to the time change--it seems I just get used to it and it's time to mess with me again! lol Hope you have a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteThe time change always messes with my head, too, Terri. I hate it! Have a great time with your friends today, and I'll look forward to photos on Monday. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteDang about the time change - it was made by Ben Franklin! HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU!
ReplyDeleteI remember John's Pass was the first (and only) time I ate fried gator! I like Cheryl's idea of gifting over a shared meal; my son's actually suggested the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI hope y'all have a wonderful time ... I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!
How strange! I was the same on Thursday thinking the next day was Saturday! I hope you have had a great day out, it certainly does sound you and the ladies have a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteOur clocks went back over the weekend and all week I have felt off, it really does mess with your head.
Have a great weekend!
You've certainly been keeping busy Terri. Our clocks went back last week and although I like having an extra hour of sleep I don't like the darker nights. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a fun time today. It was a lovely day here...fall has arrived in Florida! I hope it stays this way, except we still need rain here. How nice to have had your birthday dinner already! (what day is it? I forget). Anyway, I know it was nice to be treated. I know you've cooked for so many others so many times...it's always nice to be treated to a meal whether it's out at a restaurant or at someone's home. I am not looking forward to time change. I still wish they'd leave it alone. I have a feeling I will be making some adjustments with the kitty feeding schedule. They don't understand time changes. We'll figure it out. I hope the rest of your weekend is pleasant and uneventful!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because I kept thinking Friday was Saturday too! I sure don't like this new time. I wished they would keep it on this time so we have more daylight.
