Another week with no new photos to share. I mentioned my doctor appointment, and I mentioned picking up my friend, Anne, from the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa earlier this week.
Yesterday morning, I went to our Bible study with our Pastor. It is always a good meeting. He delves more in-depth with his sermon series, which is based on 1 Peter. There are some challenging passages to understand in Chapter Three.
Last night, the Mas Verde dinner group went to Cheddar's. We were planning to go to the Italian restaurant we all like, but they couldn't seat our 10-person group until 7:30. That's much too late for us old people to be having dinner. Cheddar's got us right in, and we all enjoyed our meals. I brought more than half of mine home, so I'll be enjoying it for at least one more day.
This evening, I'm going to that Italian restaurant with the ladies from my church. There will be 20 of us, and they have a special area for larger groups. Good that Donna made reservations a few weeks ago!! I will most likely have more food to bring home from there, which means I'll be set with leftovers for the entire weekend!! Yay!
I will take Anne back to Tampa on Sunday, after church. She needed a week off, and had doctor appointments and a few other things to do. Many of us understand how hard it is to stay in a hospital room with a loved one. I think it will work well for them both for her to be there for a week and home for a week. They still talk on the phone several times a day. Keep them both (Anne & Paul) on your prayer lists, if you will. Paul is fighting acute leukemia.
I spoke on the phone with my sister, Patti, last night. Always good to catch up with her.
Happy birthday wishes this coming week, for my DIL, Darlene, my SIL, Jo Anne, and my DILove Kali. Grandson Tristan has a birthday next week! Whoosh goes the time.
Thanks for your visit today! Not much interesting here to impart, but your visit is appreciated! Have a blessed weekend and week ahead!!

Whew, you are busy, smiles. Happy Birthdays all around, smiles.
ReplyDeleteWe like Cheddars when we travel. There isn't one close to our house. Tonight we're going out for Italian.
ReplyDeletePraying for Paul and Anne, a lot for them to both deal with. They are blessed to have a friend like you!
Glad you have a great 'army' of friends to keep you busy and involved!
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice you are so in demand. May the good times continue! Blessings. ❤️
ReplyDeleteBoy, do you have a lot of birthdays coming up, Terri. Glad you had a great time with your Mas Verde group and that you're enjoying your pastor's Bible study. Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to everyone who has a birthday this month. Today is my son Jacob's birthday and tomorrow is my grandson Levi's birthday. We will celebrate Jacob tonight and then both of them on Sunday at my daughters. I went to the Italian restaurant with a friend from church for lunch. It was good. Have a great day today Terri!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great friend you are to Anne and Paul! Eating "out" is one of my favorite things in the world ... so glad you were able to enjoy the best of both restaurants!
ReplyDeleteThe bible study sounds so interesting and 7:30 is too late for me to eat too. II am glad you found somewhere which would take you earlier. Have a fab time at the Italian restaurant tonight!
ReplyDeleteThinking of Anne and Paul and wow! That is a lot of birthdays!
I always enjoy your posts and newsy news about what you are doing and who you are eating with! You are blessed to have so many friends to do things with. Praying for your friends Anne and Paul. My oldest brother Russell had that kind of leukemia. It was really hard. He fought hard for about a year I guess...but his body gave up at age 75, just the age I am now. He would be 82 this October 6th. I pray your friend can hang in there and whip this disease. I hope you have a blessed and pleasant weekend.
ReplyDeleteI always love reading about all your friends and how you keep so busy.
