This week really flew by for me, with all the traveling I did through the holiday weekend! Things quickly settle back into the usual routines, though, and life is good!
Yesterday, the morning started with my annual mammogram. Always fun (not). I'm not expecting any problems, but I still wait for those results to hit "My Chart".
Our Pastor is back from his sabbatical, and it was good to resume our Thursday morning Bible study with him. And last night was my usual dinner out with the Mas Verde group. We went to Cheddar's. Bob and Sandy weren't able to go with us because Sandy is fighting a head cold. She didn't want to take a chance on spreading germs, for which we are grateful. She said she is feeling better. Here is our group, minus them and Anne's husband, Paul, who was also feeling a bit under the weather. She got him a carry-out meal when we left.
Left to right: Larry, me, John, Tim, Judy, Ginny, Anne, and Sharon.
Today, I am driving down to Naples to spend the night with my granddaughter, Lauren, and her soon-to-be-hubby, Jeremy. Lauren's wedding shower is Saturday at noon. This is their "save the date" postcard picture...
Jeremy's dog is Truman, so I get to meet him today!! Lauren has a cat named William, and I haven't met William either! It will be a fun weekend with the wedding shower on Saturday. I will drive home after the shower. It's about a 3.5-hour drive. Not too bad.
This is my Sunday to be a greeter at my church, and there is a "welcome back" reception after church for our Pastor. We are happy to have him home!
One last thing to note about today....
Happy birthday in Heaven to my sweet Joe!

(((HUGS))) and Happy Heavenly Birthday to Joe. I bet they are celebrating with him in heaven today. I hope you have a safe trip to Naples and back, and have a lovely time with Lauren and her friends there tomorrow. Yes, you are quite the traveling gal these days! I hope you have perfect weather for your trip. The dinner group looks like a fun group of people. You are blessed with so many good friends nearby! Oh, praying and trusting with you for good mammo results. I know, those things are NO fun, but I guess we should be thankful they have developed such a tool to help keep us healthy. Take care and have a lovely weekend. We will look forward to hearing about it when you get back. Oh, and welcome back to your Pastor. I'm sure you will all be happy to see him again!!
