The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thanks to Joyce for today's Hodgepodge!!  You can join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 576

From this Side of the Pond

1. What is one good thing you often take for granted?  Freedoms in this country, and I say that before any voting results have been reported.  Praying.

2. What's the boldest piece of clothing in your wardrobe?  I recently purchased a couple of new tops that are more colorful than I usually wear.

3. Do you think common interests or common values are the key to people getting along? Elaborate.  I think they go hand-in-hand but values, in my opinion, are more important than common interests.

4. November 6 is National Nacho Day...do you like nachos? How do you like yours? Do you make them at home or only order out?  I'm not crazy about nachos so really can't answer any of these questions.

5. Have you spent any time in Washington D.C.?  If so what did you think? If not, is that a place you'd like to visit? What do you think about politics as a career choice?  I lived in metro DC for 12 years.  I worked in DC, but lived in Maryland for a few years before moving to Virginia.  Joe and I were married in Annandale, Virginia, and lived in Alexandria, Virginia, before we moved to Florida in 1989.  I don't like politics and would never consider it as a career choice.  Our son, Jeff, still lives in Alexandria.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  God bless America.

Peace and Hugs!
Land that I love!

  1. Great answers. I can't imagine living that close to Washington DC. Glad you came down here where life is kinder and gentler...most of the time, unless there's a hurricane. LOL.

  2. Having common values are so important when we make lasting friendships, Terri. Yes, I visited DC in 2010 and it was an amazing trip. Blessings!

  3. I was stuck on values v interests -- but will go with interests. Only because I don't knowingly associate with anyone who doesn't (have shared values).
I was but 15 years old when my parents took me to D.C.; honestly, I was a bit cowed by the crowds and traffic. Certainly, I'd more appreciate it as an adult -- but that's not on my Bingo card right now.

  4. Good answers - I didn't know you lived up there. I bet you find a big difference from where you live now. I have been to DC but would not want to live there.

  5. I love your background with all the fall trees! I don't have the stomach needed for working in politics. I barely have it for watching lol. Have a great day!

  6. I loved when Jeremy lived in DC. I wish he still did - obviously because it's a lot closer to us than Portland! We always did so much walking when we visited. And there were so many great places to eat.

  7. You’re the second Hodgepodger that doesn’t care for Nachos. I agree with #3
