The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Thank you, Joyce, for the Hodgepodge questions!  Become a Hodgepodger HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 488

It's getting close! But here we are Hodgepodging like we've got nothing left to check off our to-do lists. It's fine. Everything is fine. Let's go! Answer this week's questions on your own blog then hop back here tomorrow to share some Christmas cheer. And your answers of course. See you there!

Also-FYI there will not be a Hodgepodge next week (Dec 21). We'll be back to wrap up the year the following week, December 28th.

From this Side of the Pond

1. What does Christmas mean to you? Salvation! Emmanuel!! Peace, love, joy, family, friends, rejoice...

2. What's your favorite cozy holiday activity? Sitting in my happy place (recliner) when the kitchen is cleaned up, the cats are fed, and the TV is on with another favorite Christmas movie...

3. Is all your shopping-wrapping-baking done? The shopping is done but not the wrapping.  I am not planning on baking but may do cookies... Tell us about your holiday plans.  My sister is coming so we will have some fun and there is the candlelight service at church on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning church.  Shopping will be involved, too.

4. If you were Santa what treat would you like to have left for you (it doesn't have to be milk and cookies!)  Tacos and a margarita.  What sweet or savory treat do you most look forward to indulging in around the holidays?  Bang-bang shrimp at Bone Fish Grill.  I have a gift card and will be treating my sister to dinner there, starting with Bang-bang shrimp.

5. Next Wednesday is the first official day of winter (in the northern hemisphere). How does that make you feel?  This is Florida.  I'm looking forward to cooler temps and less humidity.  Tell us what you love most about winter?  Cooler temps and lower humidity!!

6. Insert your own random thought here.   I don't really have an update on Helen yet while writing this last night.  I am waiting for Hospice to evaluate her and also for the therapist to do an evaluation.  She remains on hospice care until evaluations are done. I will visit after work.

My BFF's hubby, Jim, is having hip replacement surgery today.  Please lift a prayer for his successful surgery and swift/complete healing!! Much appreciated!

Peace & hugs!

For the law was given by Moses,
but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

  1. Yes, to some lower humidity. It has been very warm so far. I think we are getting a cold front coming in. I don't care for cold cold, but I will do my best to embrace cozy inside activities.

  8. Our cozy activities sound remarkably similar; there's no place like it!
I think we were on the same wavelength, believing Santa needs an adult beverage to keep warm out there.
Hopefully by now, Jim's surgery will have been completed in good fashion. All the same, prayers continue for he and Helen.

  11. I'm sorry about Helen. I enjoyed reading the recap of how you two became friends. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and time with your sister. We have good friends in Indian Shores we hope to visit sometime after the new year...would love to meet up with you somewhere in the middle. I don't think you're too far from there. I will let you know when/if we can work out a date to travel. Merry Christmas!
