Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 484
2. The Hodgepodge lands on National Fast Food Day. What was the last fast food you ate? I had fasting labs last week and stopped for an Egg McMuffin at Micky D's on my way to work. What's your favorite fast food? It's hard to beat chicken anything at Chick fil a and their mac & cheese is delicious! How often do you grab fast food? Not even once a month and breakfast more than lunch or dinner. I don't mind Wendy's and especially the Frosty! We just got a Culver's in Lakeland but I haven't tried it yet because it is about 10 miles north of me.
3. Life in the fast lane, get nowhere fast, on the fast track, not so fast...pick one and tell us how it applies to your life in recent days. All of them could apply on any given day but on the fast track this week because it is busy! Today, after work, I head for Orlando to meet up with nieces & nephews and my gr-gr niece and pen pal, Maya. We will be spending the afternoon and evening in The Magic Kingdom for Maya's birthday. I will be home tomorrow. I promised the guys at work a chili lunch on Friday, so I'll be prepping for that when I get home from Orlando. Whew!! On the fast track to getting it all done!!
4. Are you a fast walker? Used to be but not so much any more fast talker? No. fast worker? Yes. fall asleep fast? Usually, stay fast asleep without too much trouble? Yep, easy peasy on that one!
5. What is one 'hard and fast rule' in your house? It's just me now, but Joe was on the same page... if you use it, clean it up and put it away when you are done. Wish the cats could be trained like that!!
6. Insert your own random thought here. Referencing #5, I am still getting used to having to do everything myself. Joe and I were married for almost 36 years and we split chores up pretty well over the years. Now it is all up to me. I miss him for a whole lot more than that but it kinda hits home every day, almost two years later. It's okay. I'm okay. I just miss having my best friend by my side as I go through this life. (And he always put the trash out... (wink))

I remember Wendy's senior card for Frosty's that I would buy in January for a buck and get free ones for the rest of the year! :) Hope they still do it. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun day in the Magic Kingdom! I haven't been to a Disney park in many years.
ReplyDeleteTerri, I hope you have fun at Magic Kingdom with Maya. It's so fun to see it all through a child's eyes. It's probably been 10 years or so since we've been there. Hoping to some day be able to go with my grandson. I can't even imagine having to do all the chores by yourself. I'm so sorry you can't do that any more with your hubby. Have a blessed week and enjoy all the fun things you have coming!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri: We do not eat fast food.
ReplyDeleteIt works for some people but not us.
Always say a kind word daily is a hard fast rule, weather to each other or to others we come in contact each day.
Have a great day it's still snowing here and cold.
Catherine
I am thrilled for the fun scheduled for today and tomorrow for you! Hopefully we will see some pictures but if you are having too much fun, do not worry about photos!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have SO MUCH FUN at the park!!
ReplyDeleteYou love your Joe so much. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI still try to tell the kids - if you take it out - put it up!
I hope you have an amazing time with family at the Magic Kingdom, Terri!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I know you miss Joe, each and every day. God did bless you both with a beautiful relationship here on earth, and I know you are ever grateful for that.
Blessings!
Disney's usually not my cup of tea, but seeing it all through the eyes of a child makes all the difference! I hope you eat something really decadent and giggle like crazy. I can't wait to see your photos!
ReplyDeleteI really like Chik-fil-A too but there isn't one very close to us.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fast walker, but not a fast talker.
Joe was a blessing and I know he would say you were too. It's good that you are carrying on, but still miss him. It says a lot about your marriage.
We have a Culver's too but I took my kids to one while on vacation. They reported back that it was too much: too rich, too buttery. I doubt I'll eat it but other people tell me it's good!
