This side of the Pond  (My favorite Wednesday Meme!!)

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and was published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Stolen (and edited) from "This Side of the Pond"

1. What's something you've recently accomplished solo?  Life.

2.  What's one product you use that never ever fails?  My Kuerig.

3. Have you found your place in the world?  Yes. Where is it? Right here.

4.  Worst movie you ever saw?  Rubber (check it out!)

5. What's the last fun thing you did?  I had fun yesterday cleaning my house and thanking God for the roof over my head. I'm serious.

6. What's your favorite Italian dish?  Anything with pasta!

7. Have you ever been to France?  Nope.  Any desire to visit there, and if so what would site or city would you most want to see?  No desire to visit France.

8. Have you ever been to Disney, any of the parks at all? I have been to Disney World many times.   Are you a Disney superfan or something less than that?  Less than a superfan. They're open right now so tell us, would you go if you had the time/money/a free trip?  I really don't care if I ever go again.  Season passes for many years.  I actually always enjoyed Universal Studios, Sea World, and Busch Gardens more.  We had season passes there, too, back when the grands were young.  They enjoyed them more, too.

9. Your favorite place to go when you want to be quiet as a church mouse?  My favorite place is right here, in my home.  Would those who know you well describe you as more church mouse or perhaps more like mighty mouse?  Not a church mouse, but not that mighty either. Somewhere in between, I guess.

10. Do you bake your own bread?  No. Last time you had hot-out-of-the-oven homemade bread?  Can't remember.  What's your favorite kind of bread?  I am not a bread person.  Joe sure was, but I don't care that much about bread. I like Italian bread dipped in olive oil

11. What's something you might say is 'the greatest thing since sliced bread'?  My stick vacuum cleaner is so great!  Given my answer to #10, though, most anything might be better than sliced bread! LOL

12.  Share with us five little things you're grateful for today. Small blessings. One catch-they all must start with the letter T.  Time. TV. Teaspoons. iced Tea, Treats.

13. Tell us where you were and something about what life was like when you were 20- 21. Married, working, husband in college, hoping for things that eventually never happened with him.

14. What's on the menu at your house this week?  A pork roast and veggies in the crockpot before church.  The house will smell great when I get home!  I will eat it for at least three days!

15. Something you recently purchased where a coupon was involved?  A chicken sandwich at Burger King.  Do you regularly shop with coupons?  No.

Peace & hugs!

God bless you on this Sunday!

PS:  We had to postpone dinner with my boss, his Mrs., and Vol-M.  On Friday, the boss came to work with a sore throat and not feeling well.  He went first to get a Covid test, which was negative and his malady was determined to be "just" a cold.  Later in the evening, his wife and I (via texts) decided it would be better to postpone our dinner for a couple of weeks so he can rest and get over the cold.  We are doing it on the 30th now.  This coming Saturday is the Pioneer Days festival that Mrs. Boss and I are going to, thus the two-week delay  I spent a lovely day in the house, cleaning and cooking and then being lazy!  I also spent some time thinking about Joe.  Eight months.

  1. Danny makes the best homemade bread, Terri, and also, homemade pasta that is to die for. I know you would love the latter.
Sounds like a smart idea to postpone that dinner. We can't be too careful these days with Covid lingering around.
Know I'm praying for you, dear friend.
    Blessings!

  2. I love bread. I haven't made homemade in years.

Better safe than sorry on postponing dinner.
    Have a great day!

  3. Good idea, postponing your supper! I almost played along, but got hung up on the "t's" (LOL) ... saw many of my own answers in your responses. Enjoy that roast! Gosh, just imagining is making my mouth water!

  4. Eating pasta. Now that's comfort food. Home alone is one of my favorite places (although I do have to temper that with out-of-the-house activities just about every other day to keep my sanity). I, too, have a stick-style vacuum cleaner and it is truly the best. PLUS, when the battery runs out, I have no choice but to plug it back in for a while and go do something more fun!

Blessings to you as you have passed yet another month. It still seems surreal that each of us have been going thru this. Big virtual hug to you, precious Terri!

  5. It just seems so unreal/surreal that you and Barbara have been going thru all this horrible times with the deaths of your beloved husbands...and I do apologize, not to mean to call it 'horrible'...both of you are so brave, Terri. I truly mean this. Much love and hugs.

  6. I made bread yesterday and we had it with chili today. I agree that a stick vacuum is great. I just love mine. I'm like you - not mighty mouse, not a church mouse. :)
I'm proud of you for making a pork roast for yourself. I think that cooking meals for one has to be hard.
