Thanks to Annie for today's questions! Join in HERE to continue the memory of Toni!!
Welcome. I am still not back to normal but, I am trying.. here are this week's questions. As always they are in memory of Toni Taddeo. Welcome back, Annie. Hugs!
1. Reading anything good lately? Yes! Under the Light of the Italian Moon, by Jennifer Anton. How about magazines? Do you buy any? I subscribe to my daily devotional, Mornings With Jesus (Guidepost), and also Reader's Digest. That's it.
2. Do you belong to any clubs, societies, or do you meet with friends regularly to chat? I am no longer a joiner but I do belong to my church, my small group from church, and I go out to eat with friends every week. In past years I belonged to several clubs, including Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM), the local Republican Women's Club, and the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). They were all great and were good while I was working and needing to network. I also was a member and held several officer roles in the Council of Catholic Women, and was a team captain (7 years) for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Been there, done that, and don't miss any of it.
3. Where are you from originally and if you moved why did you move? Born and raised in central Ohio. Moved with my first husband to the Washington DC metro area (for his job) where we lived (in Maryland) when we separated and divorced. I met Joe in Virginia and we both were tired of the rat race there and the cold snowy winters so we moved to Florida and have been here for 32 years.
4. Do you like a good Western Movie? Who was your favorite movie/TV Cowboy? Westerns aren't my favorite genre but I enjoyed and have watched Tombstone at least a half dozen times. Great movie, if you haven't seen it. Of course, Sam Elliott is one of the stars!!

Can't go wrong with John Wayne, either. Sam Elliot -- what a wonderful voice he has.
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers. You were involved in quite a few organizations! Wow! I know I used to be more active in things like that, but just don't have the desire to do all of that anymore. I am content with church and our ladies' group/Bible Study, and that's it for now. I haven't seen a good Western show in a long time. Maybe when we finish the Murdoch Mysteries series we will look for some westerns. Hubby would like that. He likes to watch "Have Gun Will Travel" (Paladin) old TV series. Hope you are having a good week. I haven't done this meme yet. Have PT this morning. We'll see how I feel after that. bye for now.
ReplyDeleteLike you choices..... though Clint Eastwood is my fav....imagine 91 years old and coming out with a new film. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI love Sam Elliot too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
You sure were an active "joiner" in your younger years, Terri. I think the most joining I did was being in church groups. Not a fan of Westerns, but I think I'll have to check Tombstone out.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I have only moved 3 times in my life and guess I will stay here til the Lord takes me home. Not big into western. Like you, I used to be more active but not these days but I do read a lot. Happy Tues, hugs xoxo
ReplyDeleteLike you, I was pretty active in so many organizations...and now, nope. Here, its more of who you know, if that makes any sense...prob. the same as networking. ANYWAYS, hope you have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteI like Sam Elliot as well. I don't watch westerns or maybe I do if you count sitting in the same room as Jeff while he is watching westerns:)
ReplyDeleteSam Elliot and make anything good! lol
ReplyDeleteNow I'll have to see Tombstone! Enjoy your day sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteWow on all your community outreach! I'm not much of a Western fan myself, but yes. Sam Elliot's a treat for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a sweet day! 🤗
I'm not a real fan of Westerns either but have enjoyed a couple of them. Not sure if I've seen Tombstone. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteThe only mag's I subscribe too are Archeology Magazine, Reminisce, and The Good 'Ol Days. When I'm done reading the mag's I share them with my MIL in the Nursing Home. She really prefers anything Civil War but glances through these, then passes them on to other residents.
Love xx
I'd love to see Tombstone again because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Thanks for the welcome back, Terri, its appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in each week!
I've only moved 3 times in my life and still live 25 minutes from where I grew up!
ReplyDeleteSam Elliot and Clint Eastwood! I agree.
My family moved 3 times before I was 10 and I moved 11 more times as an adult for a grand total of 14 times. Yikes!
DeleteDo you watch Yellowstone? I kind of love that show...anyway, Sam Elliot is going to be in the prequel to Yellowstone. I am so excited. I like him too. Loved your answers! Have a great day!
