So Tell Me...
This week's questions come from Sparky! I hope you enjoy doing them.
Let's talk about you .....
1. Music. What kind of music do you enjoy? Are you musical? I like all kinds of music but listen most often to the oldies. I can read music and played the trumpet in the school band. I took piano and organ lessons but didn't stick with them. I was in the high school chorus but don't sing well anymore.
2. Travel. Where have we been? Canada, Italy, and many states on the east coast. What's your favorite destination(s)? I loved Italy. Now I can't say I have a favorite destination other than my recliner! LOL
3. Occupations. Did you end up working at what you wanted to be? No. Do you wish you'd done something else, if so, what? etc. I have been so blessed and don't think too much about what might have been. I'm here and am blessed. God is good!
4. How do you keep from being bored? Read. Watch TV. Blog. Pray!! I am rarely bored.
Thank you for joining in each week. You have made this such a wonderful experience and I know Toni, in whose memory we continue, would be pleased as punch.
I enjoyed your answers, but you didn't say what it was that you "wanted to be" that you didn't end up being...just curious! As a child, I thought I wanted to be a doctor or a nurse, but when it came time to decide, that was no longer on the list. I ended up being what GOD wanted me to be...and I think you could say the same thing! And I'm glad we both ended up HERE in blogland! Never a dull moment here!
ReplyDeletePam, I wanted to own a horse ranch in Colorado. Then I wanted to be a beautician. Then an art teacher or an architect. I ended up an accountant in an art museum... I think only God really knows and He leads us if we listen!!
DeleteHave a good day!
ReplyDeleteFavorite destination: yes, my recliner is a blessing during daylight hours and I LOVE sleeping under my weighted blanket at night.
ReplyDeleteTerri, we think so much alike. However, I wish I had your sunny temperament. I tend to be a bit on the cynical side.:) I finally found a book that seems like it will be good, The Glorious Guinness Girls by Emily Hourican. I gave up trying to find a book at the library and found this one at Target.
ReplyDeleteI always dreamed of becoming a writer, Terri, and I did! It's funny, but now that we are retired and have the time to travel, I really don't want to unless it's to see the grandchildren. That recliner sound inviting!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I agree, the recliner is my favorite destination these days! That's so great you're still able to read music. I loathed the years of taking piano and violin lessons so much -- and suspect that's a contributing reason why I cannot read a note of music today. Tom actually had to show me, "Middle C."
ReplyDeleteI am rarely bored either. I would like to visit Italy also. I am so glad you got to go. Loved your answers! Have a nice week!

Hey, we have a favorite destination now: the recliner! Preferably with the A/C blastin' and the TV on. I'm good. *giggle* I enjoyed your answers.
ReplyDeleteLove & Blessings. xx
Oh the piano..that was Mom's dream for me...not nine at all. I am rarely bored either. I wonder if it is because we grew up before computers and knew how to entertain ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI love the oldies too! I took piano lessons and have a piano. I used to play at church but now just play for fun.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to be a nurse.
I love all the fun places you've been, and I like my recliner too.
