The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for continuing Toni's Tuesday 4!  You can join in HERE!

Tuesday 4

The BEST!

1.   What was the best thing you have ever bought?  I am blessed to have food and clothing and a vehicle and shelter, but the first thing that came to mind was our former home that brought us to Lakeland, Florida.  We sold it and moved four years ago but buying it back in 1989 got us to Lakeland and being here is awesome.

2.   What was the best book you have ever read?  I've read some great books since earning my Golden Reading Circle Awards in elementary school.  Two come to mind because I have read them both four/five times.  "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White (King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, Camelot -  what's not to love!) and "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchel.  I have read Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" three times.

 3.   What is the best food you've ever eaten?  The best meal that comes to mind is the white truffle pasta that I had in Orvieto, Italy.  The entire experience there contributed to the moment when the waiter lifted the lid off the plate and the fragrant steam rose in my face... oh my goodness!!  It was delicious and sharing that meal with Joe made it even more delicious.  That was in May 2007.  I will never forget it.

4.   What was the best movie or TV series you've ever watched?  There are many, many movies I love and TV shows that I love.  The TV series I stayed with the longest was Grey's Anatomy - 16 seasons.  My cousin, Justin Chambers, played Alex Karev.  When he left a couple of years ago, I stopped watching it.

Peace & hugs!!  Jesus loves us!

PS... Prayers for travel mercies are appreciated as I head for home this morning.  Today, June 1st, is also my sister, Patti's birthday!  Happy birthday Patti!!  Love you to the moon and back, Sis!!

  1. First of all, praying for you this morning as you travel homeward. I guess you didn't have to work today? Are you already finished with the old job? Does the new one start this Friday? Glad you had a good weekend. Your answers are great. That trip to Italy must have been so wonderful. I am so glad you and Joe had that wonderful experience together. Precious memories. Praying for Patti today on her birthday...and also as she deals with the upcoming surgery/treatment. Praying all goes well for her and soon you sisters will all be together again.

  3. I don't even know if I could quickly pick any of those favorites, but I think it is funny you remember that dish. HBD Patti.

  5. Oh, yeah, I forgot about "Pillars of the Earth". That is a good book. There's a couple of scene's I skip over but, overall, it's a real page turner.
Prayers for traveling mercies. Remember you can call us if you need anything. You're NEVER alone. Jesus loves you and so do we.
    Love & Prayers xx

  6. Praying for your drive today. I'm sorry it didn't work out that we could see each other this time. I'll be on the road tomorrow. My time here was extended by a day so I could meet with my builder this afternoon.

  11. Oh, that meal sounds heavenly! I always imagine dining in Italy would be a very sensual (as in involving all your senses and pushing them into overload) experience. I do love how much you love your community and it sure sounds like a lovely a friendly town. I'm sure I was there when we lived in FL, but after all this time I don't remember anything. I'm sure it's all changed, anyway. We went back to Orlando after 12 years or so and I had a hard time recognizing anything. I'm glad you had a great weekend away!

  12. Hope you had a marvelous time in Brunswick, Terri! I'm a little late to the party, I know, but things have been pretty hectic with Mom in the hospital, traveling, etc.
    Blessings, my friend!
