The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

A big thanks to our Hodgepodge Hostess, Joyce!  You can hodgepodge with us right HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 419

From this Side of the Pond

1. It's like my mama always said, "
You have to know when to leave the party."

2. May 11th is National Eat What You Want Day. What will you be having by way of celebration?   Well, I wish I had known about that before now!  I did have baked ziti with meatballs, and brownies for dessert with my friends, Murph & Hattie though, so having company for dinner was pretty darn good!

3. Describe your idea of a perfect spring day.  78 degrees, no humidity, blue sky, and attending Mayfaire by-the-Lake.  In other words, it was last Saturday.  The only thing missing was having my sweetie with me.

4. Success, fulfillment, growth, achievement...pick one and tell us how it relates to your life in some way, either currently or in days gone by.   I am growing stronger in my faith.  I had a successful career, a very fulfilling life (so far with hopefully more to come), and have achieved much.  I am blessed and moving forward.

5. I saw this going around on various social media sites and thought it would be fun to answer here. The last thing you bought on Amazon is your weapon in battle. How will you wield it?  (if you're not an Amazon shopper, then the last thing you bought online anywhere)  Well, my shampoo could create a massive mound of bubbles that we could move through to quietly sneak up on the enemy and decimate them!!

6. Insert your own random thought here.  As I posted yesterday, it was our wedding anniversary.  I was so blessed by text messages, Facebook comments, a bouquet of flowers left on my doorstep that greeted me when I got home from work, and good friends who came to dinner.  I have also received a few "thinking of you" cards over the past few days.  Blessed, indeed.  Thanks to all of you, too!

Peace & hugs!!  Jesus loves you and me!

  1. My Mama always said, "Nothing good happens after 11:00 PM." I like the idea of your perfect day too. You have a good day. Thinking of you!

  2. Your idea of a perfect day is the same as mine, Terri. My mother used to always say, "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all." That has really stuck with me.
    Blessings!

  8. I love the way people care about you.

Our week here at Lisa’s is fuller than I thought it would be. Last evening we went to the school for a concert, this morning we went there for the student chapel service, and tomorrow evening we’ll go again for the Spring sports banquet. I’m hoping we’ll go out on the boat this weekend. So I’m thinking we’re not going to get over to see you. I’m really sorry.

  11. I’m so glad you have so many friends and didn’t have to spend your anniversary alone. Some of our answers were similar. Your attitude is good. We have so much to be thankful for in spite of our losses.
