Whimsical Wednesday on Thankful Thursday...

It is Whimsical Wednesday on Rebecca Jo's Thankful Thursday!
No rules and no linky...
Check out the gown and help her choose some shoes!
It is just a fun and whimsical thing!

An elegant evening gown in that beautiful basic black.
She needs some shoes!

Shoe #1 by Jimmy Choo

Shoe #2 by Jimmy Choo

Shoe #3 by Dolce & Gabbana

My Thoughts:  First, I love wearing black and wear it a lot so the elegance of this gown really struck me! As usual, I could not wear any of the shoes but picking for the model... I'll go with all that sparkle on the Dolce & Gabbana #3 pair.  What are your thoughts?

** I am thankful for my family. Such a blessing.

** I am thankful for our home and this community and for our friends here. Dinner out tonight with two couples at Ford's Garage. Yum.

  2. I choose #1 seems more simple elegance to me than glitzy for that dress.
Wouldn't want the shoes to outdo the dress. Couldn't wear any of them.

  3. I have to go with shoe #1, Terri. And I'm so thankful for blogging friends like you! :)

  4. I always look forward Thursday mornings to see what you've chosen! #3 for me, as well. It seems to best complement the bodice.

  5. Great list of things to be thankful for! Can you imagine if we didn't have all the technology we have to keep in touch with family and friends through all of this mess? Yikes! Oh, and it's shoe #1 for me. Have a great day, Terri!

  6. Gorgeous gown! I will go with shoe #1. Oh, and kettle corn....it's the bomb! I love it!! Several years ago, my son worked with a man who had a kettle corn business. He helped make the corn for local events. He would come home smelling like kettle corn!

  7. Love that gown and I'd choose #1 in the shoes! I got to eat at Ford's Garage last year when visiting my daughter. It was delicious! Yep, kettle corn is delicious and now I need to get some. lol

  8. I really would love to be able to wear a dress like that! But I'll do what you did and pick #3 for the model! I would have to have ballet flats! lol But maybe I could get them with sparkles!

  9. Love your thankful list.
Those shoes are gorgeous, but I just don't get along with stilettos any longer.

  12. Hmmm...I'd have to go with the Jimmy Choos, but I would break my ankle if I tried to walk in any of these shoes! :)

And now I am hungry for kettle corn!

  13. I had a hard time trying to decide between #1 and #3 . . . I'm going with #3. That dress looks like something Melania Trump would wear. :) Have fun at Ford's Garage, sounds like a place that would have great food and a great atmosphere.

  15. The heels on shoe #1 MIGHT be slightly shorter than the other pairs, so I'll go with them. It's been years since I've worn heels, so this is really a mute point. Black ballet slippers would work better for me.

As the Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for continued good health.

  16. Wow, I love the dress. I agree with someone else above, that Melania Trump would look fabulous in that dress, and she could wear any of those shoes. #1 heel looks a little lower, but I'm not crazy about having my toes pushed forward into a small opening like that. I tend to go with closed toes. No one else liked #2, and I really don't like the design, but the shoe looks more comfortable. (If it wasn't so high). So I will be daring and go with #2 shoe. Thankful for so many blessings today...and you and our friends here are included. Kettle corn sounds good. I can smell it now! LOL. Have a great time.

  17. That is a gorgeous dress! Yes, I also think Melania would look wonderful in it. I couldn't wear the shoes either, but I would choose #1.
