Friday Fotos...

We are at the farm (Joe's client) today so there are no farm animals to post photos of but I do have a few new things to share...

Lucy has decided she likes to sleep on the end table now.  This is new for her.

But this cartoon says it all...

I posted this on Facebook but thought I would share it here.  This is the Faith Step from yesterday's morning devotional.  I think we all need to do this!!

Thursday night is our eating out with the neighbors night.  Judy & Tim couldn't go this week because Tim is dealing with gout (awful!).  Bob & Sharon rode with us over to Plant City where we introduced them to the Japanese restaurant we discovered a week ago.  Wasabi is really good and we did the hibachi grill so it was even more fun!  Our 'chef' was lots of fun and was very good at his job!

I am sorry that I had already started eating before I remembered to take a picture, and I didn't get a picture of Joe or Bob & Sharon,  The folks who shared our grill were celebrating a birthday so we all sang to her and that made it even more fun.  Everyone brought food home!

I enjoyed a facial yesterday.  We are eating at Cheddar's tonight with
Helen and Cheryl.  They will meet us there.  We visited Helen earlier
this week and talked about assisted living. She is open to it but we told her
it would be better to wait a few more months until this pandemic stuff is behind us
before we go exploring to find one she would like.  I hate to settle her in
somewhere and not be able to visit and she would be more alone than she is now.
I think she understands.  We will continue with Home Instead for now.

Thanks for coming by today!
Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  2. LOL at that cartoon. I've never eaten at one of those places that has the grill right there. I always see them on tv and they look interesting.
Have fun day at the Farm!

  4. We are heading to the Shrimp Basket in Cullman for lunch today. We had planned on eating a lot of sea food next week but our plans were changed so we are rolling with it. I am so glad Helen has you to help her navigate these hard decisions Terri. You are such a blessing to her.

  6. Looks like a fun evening at the Japanese restaurant. I love going to those, but haven't done so in a long time. We just don't have access to many different kinds of restaurants up here where we live in the boonies. So we are content with such as we have. It's the fellowship that matters, regardless of where we go, right? Love the cat cartoon. So funny. Lucky you getting a facial today. That must be so relaxing. Praying for the decisions to be made on Helen's behalf. I know how difficult it is making such decisions. Praying for wisdom for all concerned. Hope you are enjoying the day at the farm. It is a lovely day!! I think fall is actually trying to get here! I hope so!

  8. Like Pam, I haven't been to an Asian place in a long time, where they cook right in front of you. They are such fun and always delicious.

You are so thoughtful to consider the pandemic as the subject of assisted living comes up. Good foresight on your part.

  9. Love that devotional! In the split second it takes to grow angry, just stop. Stop and pray. I sure miss my (new) favorite Japanese restaurant. Some of those chefs are comedians! So when you eat 'out', have restaurants begun giving you 'real' silverware? My friend tells me they've been given plastic utensils and little disposable salt/pepper shakers; that the servers are all wearing gloves and masks.

    1. No... we get real silverware and plates. Sometimes we get salt & pepper packets. We don't get full bottles of condiments though. They bring little dishes with ketchup and mustard, etc.

  10. During the eight months that we had our grand cats last year, it was so interesting to see how they would change their favorite sleeping and hangout places from time to time.

    LOVED those restaurant pictures!!
