Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!.

Musical Interlude

Welcome to Tuesday 4 in honor and memory of Toni Taddeo!
This week let's talk about music and songs that you love.

1. Can you name songs that remind you of autumn, spring, winter, or summer?

Autumn in New York, by Ella Fitsgerald and Louis Armstrong
Summer in the City, by Lovin' Spoonful
Walking in a Winter Wonderland, by The Lennon Sisters
Spring Vacation, by The Beach Boys

2. Do y
ou like background music when eating or shopping? Do you play background music at home?

I hate loud music in restaurants. I want to be able to hear my friends talking.  I rarely go shopping in stores.  We play quiet background music at home when we have company for dinner.

3. Christmas music begins playing some places as early as November just before Thanksgiving. Do you have a favorite Christmas song? If not, how about any seasonal song that you love?  I don't want to listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving.  My favorite Christmas song is "Mary, Did You Know".

4. Songs bring back memories. Would you share a song that triggers memories, good or bad, for you?  The night I met Joe, Monday, August 1, 1983, we first danced to the theme from Flashdance.  I always think about that when I hear the song!  It starts slow so he thought it was a slow song...

Thanks for your visit!  Happy Tuesday!
Peace & hugs!  God bless you!

  2. I am just not much of a music person but Marvin and all three of my kids are music lovers. I do listen to classical music a lot as it calms me. And I LOVE Christmas music so much that you can often find me playing it on Pandora when no one else is around.:)

  3. I do like music. I loved it as kid. As I grew older I think I was too busy to notice, but lately I have listened to music rather than the TV. I like country for sure. The only music I really don't like is Mexican at the Mexican restaurants. Most all play it really loud and before the meal is over I am done. IT could be a volume thing:)

I play Christmas music while I am decorating the inside of our home.
Have a great Tuesday my friend.

  6. We have a new radio station playing songs from the 60s and I love listening to it in my car. I should turn it on in the house too. But we have a pretty quiet house most of the time! I DO love music though!

  7. I hate hearing Christmas music before Thanksgiving even arrives! "Mary, Did You Know," especially the way Danny sings it, is one of my absolute favorites.
    Blessings, Terri!

    1. 37 years ago, we did 'rock out' Stacy, when the music beat picked up. We actually took night-club dancing lessons while we were dating! Bad knees and old age take their toll though.

  13. What a cute 'Flashdance' memory! Our favorite grocery store has continuous background music, usually from the 50's and 60's. Of course I can't help but sing along (thank you, mask!) ... and no doubt, linger longer. Which, I suppose is their whole point.

  14. I love Ella and Louis. I don't know that song so checked it out and it's playing right now.
I love your music memory with Joe!
I like Christmas music but used to never want it playing before Thanksgiving, but recently have enjoyed it a little earlier.

  15. Great choices! I just was not finding a "groove" for this today, so I passed, but love to see others' answers. Would love to see you and Joe dancing to Flashdance! LOL. Although I never saw that move nor do I know the song, but just the sound of it sounds like it must have been a lot of fun. And you have been together ever since!! Cool!
