Live Journal
Excerpted from Live Journal 5000 Questions
1. Who is the hottest celebrity you can think of? Sam Elliott is always my answer to this question.
2. Do you ever get so nervous that you can't even think? Public speaking. Yes.
3. Do you sing when there is no music? If I am alone. You don't want to hear me sing. Since my thyroid surgery, my already limited range has decreased even more. It took three months for me to even talk normally after that surgery that messed with my vocal cords.
4. Who was the best political leader in history and why? Abigail Adams. I admire her and her role in advising her husband, John, when he was president. But I really don't have any idea how to answer this question with acuity.
5 If you could dance with anyone in the world right now, who would it be and
what song would you dance to? I would just like to dance with Joe and any slow song would be fine.
6 Finish this sentence in your own way. There are two types of people in the
world... Believers and non-believers are what came to mind first.
7. What have you saved since elementary school? Only memories.
8 Have you ever won an award? Yes. A few but nothing worth mentioning.
9. Do you feel more connected to the sun or the moon? The sun.
10 Do flaws make people interesting to you? No one is perfect, so yes!!
11 Who is your favorite historical figure? Gosh, I don't think I ever gave this any thought. Abigail Adams...
12. White bread or wheat bread? Wheat.
13. Do you usually do things fast or right? Fast AND right!! LOL
14. Are you or have you ever been in a band? Yes. I played trumpet in the Jr. High and High School bands (marching and concert).
15. Here are 4 statements about me. Only one of them is true. Which one is it?
1.) I am almost 6 feet tall; 2.) I wear a size 7 shoe; 3.) I love oysters; 4.) I have six cats. (Any of my followers should know which is true.)
16. Would you wear a thong bathing suit in public? Good grief, NO!
17. Have you thought about death today? Yes, as a matter of fact. My sister lost her husband a few weeks ago and we texted about her feelings today (as I type this). She told me she was watching a show on TV and it made her laugh, which made her feel immediately guilty. Of course, I told her there was nothing wrong with laughing. It is good medicine.
18. What is your favorite breakfast? Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, wheat toast.
19. Are you the life of the party? Not even close.
20. If you hit an animal with your car would you get out to try and make sure
it was okay? Not a wild animal but a dog or cat, for sure. Gosh, I hope it never happens!!
21. When do you get your most peaceful and satisfying sleep? At night!
22. What thought gets you out of bed in the morning? It is time to feed the cats.
23. What are you a member of? Our church and our church community group. I quit everything else when I retired.
24. Name one place you refuse to ever go. My traveling days are pretty much over so I can't really think of a place I would refuse to go. California perhaps.
25. When (and if) people (or animals) go to heaven, do they become angels? I do believe in Angels but I have no idea what the qualifying criteria would be. I doubt animals become angels but I sure hope there are animals in Heaven.
Thanks for your visit! Happy Sunday!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

How did I miss you had thyroid surgery at some point in life?
ReplyDeleteRegarding Heaven - - Randy Alcorn has written a book entitled Heaven. It is excellent. The entire book can be summed up in the first three chapters. It is very Scriptural and he says he believes from his studies, that there are animals in Heaven.
I have the book and read it last year. It is very good. I had thyroid cancer back in 2006 and had my entire thyroid removed.
DeleteYour mention of Abigail Adams makes me want to read more about her, Terri. I know she was a wise and strong woman, but I'd like to delve deeper.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
I should read some more about Abigail Adams...I don't really know much about her. Oh, your poor sister. I remember my mom going through those kinds of feelings after my dad died. It was really bad when she met someone and started dating. She felt so very guilty. Of those statements, I believe the first one is the true one. I enjoyed your answers. Have a blessed day, Terri!
ReplyDeleteGood questions today.... always makes me think... I agree with Abigail..
ReplyDeleteYes to #6. I really didn't feel like doing this meme today, lol...anyways, have a great day, friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri: We all know you love cats so I go with that one for your true answer.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of your answers today!
Have a great Sunday my friend.
I love cats, but we only have three. I am just under six feet tall.
DeleteNow I'm interested again . . . on Abigail Adams. I have read about her in the past, now reading your comments and some of the comments from your friends I'm going to read up on her again. Hope you're enjoying a great day.
ReplyDeleteI liked your answers - deep and honest. I have to be honest - I don't know much about Abigail Adams - I am going to look her up.
ReplyDeleteMy mom felt the same way when my dad died. Friends would invite her to functions and she felt guilty to go out like it was not appropriate or something. I didn't really get it...they were just asking her to go to a singing at church or a rodeo or whatever. She is doing better now though and is going out. It just takes time I guess.
ReplyDeleteI would guess you have cats. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

I know your true answer is #1! I've met you in person, and you are one of the few women I've met I have had to look up to! :) But beautiful too! I believe I have read an historical fiction story about Abigail Adams, but now I need to go back and read it again. I think I still have it. I have a small collection of books about President's wives and some General's Wives from the Civil War and before. It's been a while since I read them. And no, we do not become angels, nor do animals. Whether or not animals are in heaven is totally up to God...I kind of think they may be. But the angels were created spiritual beings, messengers of God. When we die, we will be like angels, but we will not BE angels. We will actually judge the angels, I Corinthians 6:3. If you have a good study Bible (or look up online) look up scripture references to angels and it will give you many references that help answer this question. It's a fascinating study. I look forward to meeting my guardian angel someday. I think I've kept him very busy! LOL. Have a blessed day dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI need to write about my angel story again one of these days. It's been a few years. Yes, I keep my Guardian Angel busy too.
DeleteI like Sam Elliot too!
ReplyDeleteI like your answer on the 2 types of people. It affects everything else.
I knew your answer because I know you height.
Now I'm interested in Abigail Adams!
For sure, believers (v. non)! And, the sun. I know it's just a silly song lyric, but I remember hearing "That Old Devil Moon" as a child and believing that was true; I'm probably the only soul who was afraid to gaze at the moon too long. LOL!
ReplyDeleteScripture tells us in Revelation 19:11 that when Jesus comes to earth with His saints at the end of the Tribulation, He will be riding a white horse. With that in mind, I expect to see animals in heaven. And while I cannot verify it, I expect all those animals to be easy to get along with.
