As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Joe and I went over to Clearwater Beach, just to get away for a few hours and to have lunch at Frenchy's Restaurant. We got there ahead of the rain and enjoyed the Gulf breeze as we sat on the patio for lunch. We did not walk down to the water. The food was delicious! I had shrimp and Joe had a Frenchy's burger. He isn't a seafood lover so eats beef if it is on their menu.
Joe took this picture as we crossed the causeway, heading back toward Tampa. We had rain all the way home. Just a nice steady rain and nothing that caused us concern.
We went to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday and it was (still) raining. I wasn't sure I would be able to treat the horses to their carrots, but it did stop long enough for me to see them. There were no cattle on the way in this week, but we saw a big part of the herd in the distance as we left.
This is the last bloom on a little bush. I thought it was kind of sad, wet and drooping, but still pretty.
Doc and Pistol came for their carrots.
Majesty was wet and dirty but enjoyed her treat.
Vanna liked the carrots and then stuck out her tongue (just caught the photo at the wrong time!).
The rain had stopped as we were leaving and just before we got to the gate, we saw some cattle off in the distance.
Last night, we went to dinner with Judy & Tim and Sharon & Bob. Joe and I picked Cuban for this week. We went to the West Caribbean Restaurant. I'll have more about that on Monday!
Thanks for your visit!!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

Always good to the see the horses and a Gulf breeze is good for what ails you unless it is looking like it is for next week. Start your prayer engines revving. Both meals looked delicious and eating while looking at the beach is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. Frenchys looks like a fun place. Beautiful beach too. Great pic of Vanna with her tongue out. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Your photos of the beach were great, Terri. The food looks so good! I sure wish we were in a position to eat out right about now, but that time will come. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI do miss the beach... sounds like a lovely time... have a great day..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach photos, Terri. smiles. Have a great day, friend.
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures at the beach and the ones with the horses too. You all get to go to so many good eaterys. Have a good Friday and upcoming weekend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos today Terri. We are supposed to go to the beach in September. Praying all the storms will be over by that week.
ReplyDeleteI think you got that picture of Vanna at just the right time! That's a great pic! And the one of Doc and Pistol is great too. The one on the left, "Doc"? is smiling at you and saying thank you! I love your Frenchy's pics, and your food looks great. Love the little fruit salad! How nice you were able to get away for the day and enjoy that. Looks like a fun place to eat right on the beach. I'd love that! Wish it wasn't so far from here! Thanks for sharing. These were all great.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, I've always been like Joe. Hand over the beef and no-one gets hurt. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL-ing about Vanna sticking out her tongue! So nice to see Clearwater Beach again! Not sure how, but I'm thinking some beach therapy is overdue.
Beautiful place to sit and enjoy a good meal, and from looking at the pictures it was a good meal! lol Reminds me of some of the places here that Mr D and I enjoy. I always love seeing the farm, I think I must have been a farmers wife in a past life. lol Always enjoy visiting with you, hope you and Joe have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing the beach with us...since that's as close as I'm going to get this year. The food looks great!
ReplyDeleteI just love the colors of Florida! So bright and so happy and we all need happy right now - love the animals too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you saw the pretty flower and the horses....the best part of a gloomy day. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day, in spite of the rain! Glad you were able to do that. I like that photo of the field road - or 2 track, whatever you want to call it.
ReplyDeleteThat is the lane in and out of the property. It is two miles of that from the front gate to the house. It doesn't pay to wash our car!
DeleteI love a sky with the storm clouds coming in. The contrast of light/dark... powerful to me
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Florida, Clearwater Beach was one of our favorite places to vacation. We went to a Frenchy's restaurant...Frenchy's Mandalay Seafood. Yum! French fries and potato chips are among my most favorite foods, so both those plates look mighty fine to me.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the pictures of the farm. Horses are so pretty.
By the way, I am steadfastly refusing to go back to Facebook, but I have missed blogging so much, so I decided to take another go at it. I'm not resurrecting Writing to Remember, but am starting a whole new blog, called Empty Nest Homemaker. I have to really watch the political focus of blogs, but that seems easier to do than on FB. Feel free to stop by if you have a minute. You can get there through my Blogger profile.
Blessings,
Patti
