Wednesday Hodgepodge!

You can join in with the Hodgepodgers HERE.  Thank you, Joyce!!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 367

Here are the questions for this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. Answer on your own blog then hop back here tomorrow to share answers with the universe. See you there!

From this Side of the Pond

1.  Question day this week lands on Cinco de Mayo. Are/were tacos on your Tuesday night menu?  Nope.  Hardshell, soft shell or just gimme all the tacos?  Always hardshell for me!  Are you even a fan of Mexican food?  I dearly love Mexican food - second only to Italian.  Do you like your salsa mild, spicy, or somewhere in between?  Spicy is good!  Margaritas-Frozen, on the rocks, or no thank you?  I prefer on the rocks with salt on the rim, please.  But frozen is good too.  Have you ever been to Mexico?  No.

2. What's something you may do this month?  No "may" about it.  I am getting my left knee replaced!!

3. Tell us what's happening in your state or town as far as restaurants/salons/parks/beaches/businesses opening up.   Parks, golf courses, and restaurants are open as of Monday.  How do you feel about it?   I think it is fine.  Are you out and about or hunkered down?  A bit in the middle.  We get out when we can and make excuses to go to the grocery at least once a week.  Do you wear a mask?  Not unless it is required to go in someplace.  I would willingly if there was a bigger crowd.

4. Mother nature, everybody and their mother, mom jeans, like mother like daughter, soccer mom, mother hen, mother lode, necessity is the mother of invention, stay-at-home mom...pick one and tell us how it applies to your life right now.  I guess necessity is the mother of invention.  I am doing my best to invent things to do and to figure out what to make for dinners.

5. April showers bring May flowers...what's blooming in your yard or garden today?  Not a thing. Our yard is bare of any plants or flowers. I have some artificial greenery at the base of the pink flamingo in our front flower bed.  I am not a gardener or plant person at all.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  I got a facial yesterday!  Dawn wore a mask.  It was so great just catching up and talking in person to someone other than Joe!  LOL  We even hugged before I left.  I am so happy life if relaxing a bit here.  We need to use common sense and still be careful. Those who are compromised should continue to shelter at home.  But it is time.

Thanks for your visit!
Please visit my Whimsical Wednesday post, too!!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  3. Totally agree with your last remark Terri!! I am about like you, middling in the out and about. I had to laugh at your remark that it was good to talk to someone besides Joe. I love Marvin but I can relate.

  4. Whooo hoooo - knee time! Gonna be like a bionic woman when you're done - feeling good to move & walk & run all the places :)
Glad you got to have a facial. ... Just curious - do you not get nervous about bringing things back to those around you - especially your older friends? Just trying to understand everyone's thinking :) Glad you got a hug though - that's always good for the soul.

  5. I'm so glad that Florida is loosening restrictions, much like what we're doing here in Georgia. I think it's great that you could have a facial done, too! Now, if only I could get my hair cut . . .
    Blessings, Terri!

  6. How I'd love to hug a dear friend (or several)! I'm mighty thankful for our church ladies who aren't bashful that way. I love your common-sense approach, but due to Tom's COPD I'll continue wearing PPE however long they recommend doing so. Hope you and Joe are enjoying a beautiful day at the Farm!

  7. A facial! I'd love to get my hair colored here. She doesn't even have to dry it if that feels risky. Wishing you the best with your second knee surgery. Hope all goes smoothly!

  9. So jealous that you got a hug and a facial. We're still shut down until the 15th and who knows if our governor may not extend it. I'm sick of the entire mess. We need to be the Masters of our own fate and make wise decisions and be careful without being "made" to obey. Oh, well, hopefully it will end soon. Happy rest of the week!
