Saturday 9...

Thanks to Sam for this week's questions! You can join in HERE!

Always Remember Us This Way

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Always Remember Us This Way (2018)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) In this song, Lady Gaga sings about the Arizona sky and California gold. Have you visited many of our western states? No. I was in Colorado once on a business trip and didn't get to do any site-seeing. That's it.

2) She sings that she's overwhelmed and can't find the words to express herself. Do you find it easier to share your feelings verbally or in writing?  In writing.

3) Her real name is Stefani Germanotta. She took her stage name from the Queen song, Radio Gaga. Do you have a favorite Queen song?  We will Rock You always makes me want to dance. I like Queen!

4) Her dad is Joe Germanotta, president of GuestWifi, a company that enables hotels and restaurants to offer high-speed wifi to their customers. Do you consider yourself tech savvy?  Better than some but not as good as others.

5) Early in her career, Lady Gaga performed songs for a children's audiobook called The Portal in the Park
Tell us about the last book you finished -- did you listen to an audiobook, or read a download to an electronic device or a bound book with pages?  I finished book 10 of a series by Dawn Lee McKenna called The Forgotten Coast of Florida Suspense Series. I read all my books on my Kindle and can't do audiobooks. I stop listening after five minutes.

6) She prefers dogs to cats and tea to coffee. Do you agree with her?  I prefer cats to dogs and coffee to tea, so nope, I don't agree with her.

7) Back in 2015, she appeared at the Academy Awards, performing a medley to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music. The movie's star, Julie Andrews, graciously came onstage to thank Gaga for her showstopping performance. Whom did you most recently thank?  Joe, all the time for all he is doing to help me.  Other than Joe, our neighbors who are bringing us food.

8) In 2018, when this song was first released, retailer Toys R Us closed all its stores and went out of business. What's the last toy you purchased?  I can't even remember. Probably something for grandson Tristan, who is 22 now.

9) Random question: How has social media made your life better?  I don't know if it has made my life better, but it sure has made staying in touch easier!  I will say Facebook Live has made my life better by allowing us to "go" to church on Sundays during this pandemic.

Thanks for your visit!  Happy weekend!
Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. I am so happy to see that you are able to be posting again already! Praying that your knee pain is better and that, with therapy, you will soon be ready to go go go!! But one day at a time...no need to rush...there's really not too many places to go to right now! Enjoyed your answers. I really don't know much about Lady Gaga, so this was interesting.

  2. I know who Lady Gaga is but that is all I knew about her...thanks for info. I am with you on the cats and coffee. I know the pain you are having and just praying it gets better every day. I know the PT will help but be painful while doing it. Hope you were able to sleep last night. Blessings!

  6. I think I enjoyed everything Queen recorded. (Hmmm... Alexa?) I've downloaded the first in that book series you recommended, but still have another to finish first. Thanks for the suggestion!

  7. Oh yes, that too! Being able to attend church has been great on social media platforms. We do the apps on our smart tv for church services. I usually listen to a couple. Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend!

    1. Lauren is 28 and doesn't even have a steady boyfriend. I think those great-grands will be a while.

  11. I'm thankful for Social Media in the way that it allows me to keep in touch with people I wouldn't be able to otherwise.
We will rock you is a good one - so is Bohemian Rhapsody.
Cats are my choice too, and no coffee or tea...
