It hurts more than I remembered and right now I can't even bend my knee at 90 degrees but I'm sure we will be there by this time next week - probably beyond. I'll have seven sessions with them at home over the next two weeks.
Our neighbors, Sharon & Bob, brought us dinner tonight. Hamburger steak with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. It was wonderful. Oh, and cookies for dessert. We are so blessed.
I didn't sleep well last night nor in the hospital, or the night before that so I'm hoping sheer exhaustion will put me out for at least six hours tonight. I need it.
We talked with our son, Joey, from Kuwait, last night. They have strict curfews and are just starting a mandatory 20-day lockdown. If they have to go to the grocery, they have to make an appointment. And we think we have it bad. This is some scary stuff going on all over this world. I know God is in control. He knows the beginning, the middle, and the end. I know our prayers are heard, but He is in control.
Speaking of prayers, thank you for praying for me. Thank you.
Peace & Hugs!! God bless!!

So glad things are going well... though tough time I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everything went well and you are home. I hope you were able to get some sleep.
ReplyDeleteKeeping Joy in prayer, I did not know that, you know, there is nothing on the news about the goings on there.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayer, Terri.
Wow(!!!) on grocery shopping by appointment. Always good to get a dose of perspective. So glad your neighbors provided dinner so that's one less thing Joe has to worry about. Prayers for restful sleep!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayers for great healing. Its hard to sleep with pain. After my spinal surgery I was on morphine drip for a long time in the hospital so I slept from that but after 2 months I went home and found it a bit challenging some nights.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for healing, Terri, and I do hope you can get some sleep today/tonight. Being exhausted doesn't help in the healing process.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Such wonderful news that you are doing so well, and praying especially that you will be able to get a good night's sleep soon. I know how that feels. Wonderful to have such good neighbors to bring supper! That sounded really good too!! Praying for your son in Kuwait. We are blessed to be here, and pray for those who are in more difficult circumstances. Glad you could talk to him. That was a blessing! I am sure Joe is happy to have you home. Take care and don't overdo it!
ReplyDeleteTake care and praying you'll get some sleep tonight.
ReplyDeleteIt will be NO TIME - hang in there - praying for you for pain free days!
ReplyDeleteBeing at home is always better for sleeping! Glad you got a nurse and therapist you already know and trust. Every day will be better!
ReplyDeleteNice that your friends brought such a nice meal and you got to talk to Joey!
The home health nurse, Mary, was on the Board at the Museum where I worked (years ago) so we had a little reunion of sorts last August when she came for my right knee. We spent more time talking museum stuff than health stuff this time! She is great.
DeleteGlad to hear you have the same people attending. That can really really make a difference. I try to remember every day just to be thankful for everything. It is a weird time and I have to limit my thinking on it too much.
ReplyDeleteSleep is so important so hoping you can rest tonight.
