I had a lovely surprise yesterday afternoon when an Edible Arrangement was delivered!! It is from our grandchildren, Lauren & Tristan, and their mom, Kathy. Also Kathy's hubby, Jim and their cat, Astrid. All of them wishing me a speedy recovery! This is the best "flower" arrangement ever and it tastes good, too!! We now have a huge bowl of perfect fruit to enjoy over the next couple of days.
Our friend, Mary Jane, who is our official cat sitter, stopped by for a visit today. It was good to visit with her for an hour or so. She is headed for surgery on her arm on June 11th. Wrist to the elbow. Yikes.
Our neighbors, Sharon & Bob, brought us dinner (again!) last night. Sharon made a yummy chicken pot pie and included a salad. Joe even enjoyed it (he does not usually enjoy casserole-type meals).
I got in the shower yesterday and it was wonderful!!
I have PT this morning. I am concerned that my muscles are so tight and are not allowing me to bend my knee as far as I think I should be bending it. This recovery is a bit different from my right knee. Keep me in your prayers, please.
The weekend is upon us! Do something fun!!
(Do we even know what that is anymore?)
(Do we even know what that is anymore?)
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

Hi Terri, Saying a prayer for you as you recover. The fruit looks so tasty and refreshing. I wish you a nice and safe weekend. Mildred
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious gift! That was so thoughtful. I am glad to know it tastes good too! I've never had one of those and I've wondered if they were really good and fresh. It sure looks good. How nice of your friends and neighbors to stop by, and also to bring supper! Chicken pot pie is one of our favorites! I'm glad Joe enjoyed it too. I will be praying for your PT to go well and that your knee will start cooperating better. I'm sure it will. These things take time. So happy you were finally able to take a shower! I KNOW that felt good!! I remember after my surgery how much I wanted to take a shower and when I finally did it was heavenly!! Have a blessed and beautiful Memorial Day weekend. Any special plans?
ReplyDeleteWe've had a couple of the Edible Arrangements in years past and they were wonderful! That's a delightful (and so practical) gift for recovery.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying now that your knee heals as it should and your mind can be put to rest about it.
How to have fun? Yeah, that whole idea is changing, isn't it?
Enjoy your weekend all the same!
Your fruit bouquet looks yummy. I bet that shower felt great.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
You are very loved by your family and neighbors. I know the shower felt good and I hope PT isnt too difficult for you today. Have a pain free Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh my...they put donuts in those things now?? YUM! It is so nice to visit without masks, isn't it? I walked down the street last evening and sat and visited with my bestie from high school for 2 1/2 hours WITH.NO.MASKS. It was awesome. LOL Have a wonderful weekend, Terri!
ReplyDeleteThey were chocolate covered apple rings made to look like donuts. They were the first things gone!! Yummy!
DeleteWait a minute, is that donut in there? (grin)--I am over this mask wearing thing, as warm as it has been here (84-85) I am finding it very restrictive and my asthma just isn't handling it well, of course, someone said to me, "Then perhaps you ought not be out then, I have the right to be safe." rolling eyes
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayer.
I hope your therapy goes well my friend. And I love your neighbors....can they move up here for awhile? heehee! Will you share them? The fruit looks so good too! Hugs! And no...no big plans here!
ReplyDeleteThe fruit looks scrumptious, Terri! Hope your PT goes well this morning, and that some of that stiffness will melt away. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful arrangement and I bet it tastes good too!! Have a great weekend and I hope all goes well with the PT this morning.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a nice weekend..... what a wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and yummy-looking bouquet. Such a thoughtful gift from your loved ones. How sweet of your friends to bring you another meal. Taking a meal to someone in need is such a practical way to show the love of Christ! Praying for you right now, that the stiffness will go away and that your knee will heal perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI just said a prayer for you. I love Edible Arrangements. They are a fun gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise! Someone once sent me one of those arrangements ... I didn't have the heart to tell them I don't eat fruit, lol! Prayers for a less excruciating PT session; you've got this!
ReplyDeleteOh I love those edible arrangements. Fruit is more fun when someone else cuts it up.lol So glad you got that shower and hope you get good news from your therapist.
ReplyDeleteI have seen those - I always wanted to know if they were any good - it sure looks good.
