Tuesday 4 Meme...

Toiletries and Cosmetics Tuesday 4 # 7
Welcome to Tuesday 4 which was started by Toni Taddeo and kept up
in memory and honor of her.
How about talking about cosmetics and toiletries this week?
Let's jump right in, shall we?

1. What brand of shampoo do you think works best for you and what does it do for you?
I use Pantene for curls.

2. Do you have a favorite brand and shade of lipstick and blush?

I don't wear make-up anymore.

3. Is soap your favorite for face washing or do you use other products?

We use Dove bar soap in the shower and that is what I use to wash everything.

4. Do you have an all-time favorite perfume or scent that you wear? If you don't wear perfumes, is there a scent that you love in general?
I don't wear perfume because most of it makes me sick.
I do enjoy vanilla or cinnamon scents if they aren't overpowering.
There is nothing that smells better than yeast bread baking.

Thanks to Annie for continuing the Tuesday 4 tradition!

PS for those who wanted to know:
My doctor's appointment went well. The x-rays showed no fractures or
narrowing of the 'cushion' in my hip, so that was wonderful news!
He diagnosed my problem by digging his thumbs in two places that almost
made me crawl the wall.
I have an inflamed sacroiliac joint (worst pain) and
trochanteric bursitis (also painful).
He prescribed three visits with a therapist (to save the rest allowed for my knee) and
recommended a pain management doctor who can put a needle in the joint
with cortisone if the therapy doesn't help.  So, there we are.

I appreciate your visit today!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  4. Such good news about your hip! I know you are very relieved that only one more joint replacement is in your future, instead of the hip, too!

Pantene for curls. I didn't know that. I may look into that shampoo. My hair is more inclined to curl naturally since we moved to humid Florida, and I like that.

  5. We use Dove, and I use it on my face, too. I do have to use a shampoo for color-treated hair. Praying the therapy will work for you, Terri! Blessings!

  8. Great news about your hip! I hope the therapy helps. I'll be watching with interest. Yes, I'm with you. Most perfumes are just too much for my sinuses. Food scents are best. Florals feel like acid in my sinuses. Have a great day, Terri!

  9. Oh, I use Dove for showering, love it (I am allergic to most kinds of soap including Ivory, SIGH). Food scents are the best.

I'm sorry about the bursitis, which I have in my right arm. Painful as all get out at times, sigh.

  12. Finally, some answers to the source of your pain! Praying that these interventions provide relief. Since getting eyeglasses, I struggle to apply eyeliner, etc. -- and more often than not just skip it. Remember Indian Earth blush? How I loved that stuff. I've not worn fragrance in years, but sure agree with you about baking bread.

  15. I like bakery scents in my house as far as candles and such. You probably can't handle those either though.
I hope you find some relief for your hips and knees. I have hip pain. It hurts. It can be hard to walk at times. I am able to manage the pain for now on my own...over the counter. I feel like shots are in my future though.
This was a fun meme for me! Loved your answers! Have a great week!

  17. Where have I been? I didn't know about your hip! I am so sorry you are having that kind of pain. That is NO fun. Praying it goes away quickly. I have had a couple of busy days, so that is why I didn't know. Today was my pre-op appt., and it was late in the day, so I am trying to get caught up tonight. Praying you are feeling better by now. (((hugs)))) I used Pantene products too!! I answered this meme on Annie's blog. No scents for me either...same reasons...interesting!! I do love vanilla and lavender, if I must have any scents. Lavender especially is nice as long as it is natural and not too strong. Good night. Sleep tight. God bless you.
