We had a beautiful Ash Wednesday service at our church, Redeemer Presbyterian Church of America, last night. It was well attended. Not all Protestant churches have Ash Wednesday services. Having come from the Catholic church, Joe and I felt right at home receiving ashes on our foreheads and being reminded of our mortality. The Lenton season has begun. We are so thankful for our church and church family!
We had a rainy day yesterday and all night long. I am so thankful for a good roof over our heads. It has also gotten cold again (for us) so I am thankful for a warm home. Thank you, Jesus!
I am so thankful for my husband and best friend, Joe. He is my rock. He puts up with me. Wow!
I am thankful that our son, Jeff, got a week off to come down for a visit! He will be here the week of March 8th. We are very excited to see him!! Kali isn't coming. 😭 We will miss her!
Looking forward to and thankful for lunch get-togethers with girlfriends. Our next is March 6th!
Have I ever mentioned how much I love Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies? They were on sale and I bought a big box. Joe doesn't like them. Thankful that they are all mine! LOL
I am so thankful for my family and good friends, including each of you!! Thank you for your visits and comments!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

Little Debbie Oatmeal cookies are delicious, but I love the Little Debbie Nutty Bars the best. We don’t buy Little Debbie’s often because my hubby says she calls him by name and he can’t let them rest until they are gone. lol. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThankful for the rain and cold (knowing the latter won't last long) and thankful to not have to shovel anything!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day. Wear warm socks!
Oh I have loved Oatmeal Pies since I was a child. Little Debbie products are made just up the road in Tennessee, not far from where I grew up.
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful that your son can come spend a week with you! That sure is something to be thankful for. Lots of rain here yesterday and last night. Today it is wind and snow. So, I join you in being grateful for a warm home. The Little Debbie's oatmeal cream cookies are very popular at the nursing home. ;) Have a great day and be dry, warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteLOLOLOL..I do not like those oatmeal things, my husband and son love them...so I completely understand about it being all yours, LOLOL. Thanks for the fits of giggles, Terri, truly. smiles
ReplyDeleteHave a great day friend.
Glad to hear your son will be visiting soon, Terri. Family is the best! Know I'm thankful for friends like you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Mmmm oatmeal creme pies. They are yummy. Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteLove Little Debbie moon pies. They always win over the oatmeal, but I will never turn one down. I am trying to be good about gluten though for Lent. I know it will make me feel better. Not always easy though.
ReplyDeleteI love the oatmeal pies too and buy them often. There is so much to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Joe is glad he has you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey have you tried the nutty bars by here too - they are good as well.
Love, sandie
The nutty bars are good too. Hey, by-the-way, we got hooked on Dr. Pol!! Oh my goodness is it fun to watch (and sometimes heart-breaking, too).
DeleteI was going to ask, if Jeff's lady wouldn't be accompanying him. (Couldn't recall Kali's name ... sorry!) My son has been a (self-employed) distributor for Little Debbie since 2005!
ReplyDeleteKali just got a promotion to a new position with Deloitte. Her folks live an hour north of us. She was down for Christmas without Jeff. Not sure we will ever see them together again with changes in time off, etc.
DeleteI love when a WHOLE BOX of stuff is all mine :)
ReplyDeleteThe Lenten season... my favorite time - come on Easter!!!
Well... I rode the rocket and snagged a sale of mint Klondike bars... no doubt the same draw as your choice is to you... ah so... I understand the feeling...Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful you got rid of that warning sign that was up every time I came to visit! Glad you are doing well, Terri Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWarning sign??!!! What?!!
DeleteOh, I love Little Debbie Oatmeal pies too, but we have decided not to buy them anymore and just buy the Little Debbie Fig Bars. They are better than the regular fig newtons in my opinion, and much cheaper. I figure a fig bar sounds healthy, so I allow myself to eat it! LOL. But I did bake some oatmeal raisin/nut cookies yesterday primarily for hubby. He needed something to snack on. So glad that your church does the Ash Wednesday service. Ours does too, and had one last night, but actually it was a joint service with another church a little further away, but we weren't able to go. My Lent season is going to be very "restful", and hopefully I will be back up and "running" in time for Easter. I hate to miss singing in the Cantata, but unless I can learn the music at home I probably won't be able to this year. We shall see what happens. One thing at a time. So glad your son is coming for a visit. That is always a wonderful time to have those we love come and spend special time with us. Enjoy his time with you. You are blessed. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteA roof over our head, food to eat, and someone to love, all a blessing from God above. I always try to remember to thank Him for all He has provided. I love Little Debbie too, any flavor will do! Hope you and Joe have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI think you and Joe are a wonderful twosome!
ReplyDeleteI used to eat those Oatmeal pies and really liked them. I forgot about them though and haven't had them in a long time. I better look for them.
