I left off last with photos from the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday. On Thursday, we had Bible study at the church. It's actually called "The Cutting Room" because it is led by our Pastor and he goes over the scriptures and subject for his sermon coming up on Sunday. He actually listens if we have anything to say. It is a good group and we also have fun. Joe and I are enjoying it and the group we have joined!
After Bible study, we went to Publix for a few things and then stopped by to see Helen. She had some mail for Joe. We try to see her at least once a week and we talk to her every day.
On Friday, Joe got up early to take our car to the dealership. There was a recall on our 2017 Ford Escape. They told us it could take four hours, so Joe was planning to get them to shuttle him home but when he checked in, they said it wouldn't take an hour so he just waited. Bartow Ford has a really nice waiting area with a TV, free coffee, and a little sandwich shop.
Earlier last week I was invited to a ladies brunch on Saturday. Our neighbor Jill's sister, Judy, and her hubby also live here in Mas Verde. Jill and Judy went together and had 10-12 of us for a lovely brunch, complete with mimosas. It lasted nearly three hours before it started to break up. Good food and good conversation.
Sunday was Sunday school and church. One of our praise team members is Eli Mosley. He is an up and coming country singer who just opened for
Today there is nothing on the calendar. Who knows what kind of trouble I'll get into?!!
Thanks for your visit!!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

The Cutting Room is a cute name. My son's church has a coffee area they call He Brews. Always makes me laugh when he talks about it. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sounds like a very nice weekend. Glad you are enjoying your church groups. Hope your week goes well. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good weekend Terri. I love a car dealership that has a nice waiting area. Our Toyota dealer has donuts and coffee!! I often take my stitching and stitch while I get the oil changed. Your church sounds lovely. I will be on the look out for the young man who is the country singer. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the update on your recent days. We, too, took one of our Ford Escapes into our dealership for a recall notice. At the same time we took mine in for an oil change etc. With such a nice waiting area, I was able to get some stitching done on one of my current cross stitch projects. It was like a retreat!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about your daily activities, and especially your church group, etc. That is wonderful, and I am so happy for you and Joe that you have found such a wonderful group/church. And that you also have such nice neighbors in your neighborhood. God has certainly blessed you all in your "retirement"! Now, just get that knee fixed and you'll be up and running in no time! Hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteMy bil has a 2017 Escape (well, truthfully, he pays for it, but its under my mil name), I'll have to get my husband to look into it. Their 2018 Ford Focus had a recall on the brake clutch thingy...anyways...where was I?
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Monday recaps. Have a great week, Terri. smiles
Woohoo...opening for Toby Keith is big! I wish Eli all the best in marriage and career! Our Toyota garage has a great waiting room, a computer room and a play area for the kids so it's not much of a hardship to wait these days. The ladies' brunch sounds like it was a lovely time. Have a blessed day and a great week, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI was wrong about Toby Keith. He opened for Tracy Byrd. Still a big deal!!
DeleteNow you two stay out of trouble!! lol Wishing you a very happy and blessed week.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty good weekend to me. Glad you have found a good Bible study group. That is a huge blessing.
ReplyDeleteLadies brunch, with mimosas, too? What a splendid idea! I've not heard of Eli before, but wouldn't be surprised to hear his name someday at a c/w awards show. I guess several 'stars' have begun as opening acts. You can say you knew him when! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a few busy days rolling into the weekend! What fun to have ladies brunches!!! Sounds like a wonderful church you belong to - I an off to check out Eli's music! Have a great week Terri!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fabulous weekend and last half of the week, Terri. And the brunch was a real treat for all involved, so it appears, as you all hung out together so long. How nice to have a great group of friends!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I have to say that sounds like an interesting bible study - done that way.
ReplyDeleteYou've had a lovely few days! You bible study sounds very interesting, and it gives you a sneak peek at Sunday's message.
ReplyDeleteOpening for Toby Keith is pretty amazing!
Tracy Byrd. I goofed. It wasn't Toby Keith.
DeleteWhat a great idea for a Bible study! And certainly a good way for the pastor to have people thoroughly engaged in his sermon!
ReplyDeleteThat ladies' gathering sounds like a lot of fun.
So now you're gonna be hobnobbing with celebrities, lol?? How fun!
Dear Terri, it is always so overwhelming to read about your weekly activities that you have planned for yourself and Joe. Your Bible reading and your church activities seems to be keeping the two of you quite engaged. It was nice to read about your small ladies brunch at Judy’s place. I too have a filled schedule but reading about someone’s routine does give us ideas on how to not keep idle. Please visit us at https://www.bloghasting.com/
