I am joining Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand for her Thankful Thursday link-up. You can join in HERE and share your blessings with others. Thanks, Rebecca Jo!
Last night we had our Small Group get-together at one of our leader's home. There were 13 of us for fellowship and a delicious meal of lasagna, salad, bread, and dessert. Prayer requests were heard and we also had a retired missionary (in our group) talk about his time at one of his mission stops. Always interesting. I am so thankful for these friends and for the Christian camaraderie that is shared at our meetings twice a month.
I am thankful that Joe finally got his MRI and appointment with an orthopedic doctor today at 11:00. Since his shoulder is feeling so much better, we are hoping it won't require surgery. Maybe just some therapy.
I have to mention it... I am thankful that our President was acquitted of any wrongdoing. He is doing such an amazing job of bringing America back to greatness again. The numbers don't lie.
I don't always mention the normal, everyday things that I am thankful for. I read something a while back that said what would happen if you woke up and didn't have things you never thanked God for. Food, income, automobile, pets, friends, a home, our church, the sun in the sky, rain to feed the earth, a good night's sleep, people who love me, people whom I love. Oh my goodness!! How blessed I am. Thank you, Jesus, for all of that and so much more.
Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice for me. Thank you for loving me in spite of my sinful ways. I am lazy, I am impatient, my thoughts are not always pure. How big is your love for me!!
I will leave it at that, except to say again that I am thankful for each of you!!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

What a wonderful list, Terri! Your small group sounds terrific. I would be lost without my group and our fellowship. Praying Joe's visit goes well and surgery can be avoided. Yes, very thankful the President was cleared. And all those other things you mentioned...I am blessed, too. Have a great day, Terri!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to be thankful Terri but this rain is just getting me down. I am glad it is not snow and ice! I am thankful there were no tornadoes last night even though we had a watch for them. You are so right, we need to be thankful for the small and necessary things in life.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful as well for the acquittal of the President. Have a great day, friend. smiles.
ReplyDeleteWe both feel the same way....we have a long list of things to be thankful for! I love living in FL and hope we get some rain today....but no bad storms! Take care!
ReplyDeleteYour list is wonderful...and we are all guilty of the same kinds of things. So Thankful that God loves us anyway!!! And Hey, I decided to go ahead and link up with Rebecca for today's Thankful Thursday! Thank you for sharing that with us. It is good to encourage one another in our ways we are thankful!! Hope Joe's Dr. appt./MRI goes good today. Praying for him. Therapy would be nice instead of surgery. Praying we also get some rain. We need it. It's windy out there right now and looks like rain...I hope we get it but no bad storms either.... And yes, we are very thankful for the acquittal of our President. Now, let's get back to doing the real work of the nation, people!! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful thankful list. I too am grateful for all of these things and pray that God will continue to bless our country and our president.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thankful list and a great reminder to be thankful for the simple every day things of life that we have only because of God!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for President Trump's acquittal as well. I am hoping he will be re-elected in a landslide!
ReplyDeleteTherapy instead of surgery would be fantastic. I hope that will be the case.
I'm so glad you have such a lovely fellowship group. What a blessing!!
And, oh, yes, I, too, am beyond thankful for Jesus' sacrifice for me.
AMEN to the acquittal! Even tho' I felt it would go that way, once they began the count my heart began hammering. Prayers lifted for continued good news from Joe's doctor!
ReplyDeleteAlways a good thing to do life together with other believers who can hold one another up to God.
ReplyDeleteWhew... let's hope this acquittal means we can actually worry about governing the things that SHOULD matter
Fantastic list of things for which to be thankful, Terri, and a big AMEN for President Trumps acquittal! What a witch hunt these last three and a half years have been for him. I don't think any other president ever could have stood up to what he has. May God continue to bless him and our nation!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteI agree with everything - I am so grateful and blessed too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on Trump. Leave the guy alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we all agree here.
Hope Joe doesn't need surgery.
Love, sandie
Lovely post and we can all agree with you on your points.
ReplyDeleteI also linked up this week, first time in a long while.
Have a beautiful week. Hope its only therapy for your hubby.
I'm thankful for you too! And for the reminder of so much that we have to be thankful for. Like you, I'm very thankful for the acquittal.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post and a reminder of those things that are important.. so happy for our man Trump. Today it became clear what a strain it has been on his family especially on his wife.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless America...
glad you had a good time at the get together and hopefully all Joe will have to have is some PT and not surgery. God is so good to us and I do forget to thank Him at times.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Terri. And like you, Tom and I thank the Lord for our President's acquittal.
ReplyDeleteA nice list Terri but I think we're all guilty of taking a lot of things for granted so don't beat yourself up too much
