Friday Photos....

Continuing my habit of posting photos from the week on Fridays (thanks to Deb's Friday Foto Friends), here is my offering for today...

We got to the farm (Joe's client) on Monday and were greeted by
the Guinea Hens.

I had carrots for Doc and Pistol who were sharing their
pasture with cattle this week!!

This 'pumpkin' made out of horseshoes was on a table near the
stables.  I LOVE it!!  What a cute idea!

Our weather here in Lakeland may not feel like Fall yet, but
when the First United Methodist Church puts out the pumpkins,
we know it is Fall!!

The FUMC is on Lake Morton so I had to take some
photos of the lake and swans.  Notice the swan asleep on the
curb (lower left) with his/her butt hanging over! Made us laugh!

Another view of our lovely Lake Morton and the swans.

On the way home, we pass by Southside Cleaners where there
is always a great sign posted (changes weekly).  You may have to

This photo was posted on our community's Facebook page taken
by a resident who caught the beautiful rainbow a few days ago.
I was compelled to share!

Joe breezed through his pre-op appointment yesterday and we didn't get a call to bring him back to the ER.  We are assuming that his hemoglobin level is okay and we will be good to go on Tuesday for his TAVR.  Praise God!!

I had my final physical therapy appointment yesterday!  They really wanted me to come five more visits but I told them about not being able to come next week because of Joe's health and that I really wanted to be done, with a promise to continue working at home.  The head honcho came out and had me walk for him, they measured my bended knee at 130° (!!!!) and decided I could "graduate".  I have a binder full of exercises to do at home and purchased a leg weight to help with strengthening.  I am happy to be done running there twice a week.

We are off to our favorite Italian Market, Mazzaro's, today with our friends who live across the street (also Italian).  They love it and are doing the driving so it's a double treat for me!  St Pete is a good hour drive for us, through Tampa.  It will be a fun trip!

Thanks for your visit!!

Peace & hugs!!  God bless!!

  3. Oh I love your Friday fotos! Thank you for sharing the guineas and horses and swans on the lake. And the pumpkin patch at the FUMC! Yes, that is fall in Florida! That rainbow picture is so nice too...glad someone caught it in time! Praying for you and Joe especially next week. We will be waiting to hear how he is doing. Happy you get to take a little road trip with friends today to enjoy a delightful Italian dinner together. You are so blessed to have found so many fun and interesting friends in your "new" neighborhood. God is so good, isn't He? Happy your therapy is over and you are doing so well. I'm sure you will be getting plenty of exercise in the coming weeks. Please just take good care of yourself as you also care for Joe. We'll be praying.

  6. Oh my, the geese are so pretty...what a nice place to visit. My girlfriend has guineas, she will go out on her porch and call them, "C'mon Ladies C'mon!" They come running because they know she will be throwing seed out for them. Your community is so nice, I can see why you love it there. Good, good, good for Joe!

  9. Hi Terri, thanks for the lovely tour of your state. There is so much more to Florida than orange groves and palm trees :) I'm not sure where you live but I love the St Pete and Tampa area and that big bridge that seems as it is climbing into the sky . . . simply glorious. I lived in Largo for a while as a child and then visited my brother near Okeechobee a couple of years ago. It's a beautiful state.
Happy to meet you . . . your newest follower, Connie :)

  10. Lovely pictures. That horseshoe pumpkin is so cute. I was trying to figure out how they stuck the horseshoes together. Have fun with your friends this weekend. Such good news about Joe and you too graduating from PT.

    1. It is welded. You could probably do it with Gorilla Glue.

  12. Great pics and so glad that you have graduated but do keep up with those exercises. I do hope Joe does as well as as friend did with the TAVR procedure. It was so amazing. He had it done on Monday morning, went home Tuesday morning and was back at church on Sunday. He is still doing well and it was 3 weeks ago. Happy weekend!

  14. Wonderful news on the health front, Terri! Yes, those home exercises are crucial - when my Mom broke her femur bone, we had to help her go through those religiously. My, how they helped! If you stay with it, you will see a steady and rapid improvement.
Great news about Joe, too! As always, prayers lifted.
Thanks for sharing so many wonderful photos, and may that rainbow remind you of God's covenant of love.
    Blessings!

  15. That swan's butt is a stitch! We had a lady in the office today complaining about the pain she's experienced for 6 months now following her hip replacement. You're so blessed!

  16. I love the fact that you document the dry cleaners' sign more than the signs. Too funny.

The horseshoe pumpkin is pretty cool.
