I don't really have any new pictures for today! I posted a few new ones yesterday, for Rebecca Jo's Thankful Thursday, so I decided to dig through the archives and post a few OLD Christmas photos. So here goes... in no particular order (some have seen a few of these before).

I can't tell you how much I love this photo of my Joe
with his momma, under the mistletoe. This was her last Christmas.
Joe's mom (Julia) with grandson Tristan. This was in 1999.

“A Date Which Will Live in Infamy”: FDR Asks for a Declaration of War
The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, stunned virtually everyone in the United States military. Japan’s carrier-launched bombers found Pearl Harbor totally unprepared. President Franklin Roosevelt quickly addressed Congress to ask for a declaration of war as illustrated in this audio excerpt. Although he never mentioned Europe or the fact that Germany had not yet declared war on the United States, the Pearl Harbor attack allowed him to begin the larger intervention in the European war he had long wanted.

ReplyDeleteI've always been blonde, but each year it got darker. Maybe a strawberry blonde, but never really red. Must just be the color in the photo. And I did color my hair for quite a few years!!

ReplyDeleteOh my! I love all your "old Christmas pictures"...loved your LONG hair, and that beautiful collie dog. I used to have a collie. They are very nice dogs. Love the pictures of Joe with his Mother. That is special. All of the pictures show a family filled with love. You are blessed. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I like the one with the first kitty and your favorites with you and your boys and Joe and his mom. What a loving pic of him and his mother under the mistletoe. I also like your old family pic.
