Thankful Thursday and April Challenge #5....

On Thursdays, I like to link up with Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand for her Thankful Thursday!!  You can join in HERE!!  Thanks, Rebecca Jo!!

I am THANKFUL (as you know) that Joe got through the catheterization and has recovered from it just fine.  We are both disappointed that the TAVR procedure wasn't done, but we are also THANKFUL that his doctor is taking time and wants us to do a surgical consult to determine what will be best for Joe. That also tells us that his shrinking valve isn't at an emergency level or they would have gone ahead and scheduled him. Of course, that doesn't help his shortness of breath or his coughing. He is still frustrated but we are working on the new plan.

I am THANKFUL for all the text messages and phone calls and friends stopping by to see Joe - and the offers of prayer and good thoughts.

I am THANKFUL to have the April Challenge to flesh out this post!  You can visit Kwizgiver HERE to join in the April Challenge fun.

April 5th ... A place you would live but have never visited.

I really don't want to live anyplace other than right here in Lakeland, Florida. I will say that moving to another city has never been a problem.  I have lived in Washington Court House, Ohio; Millersport, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Huron, Ohio; Germantown, Maryland; Fairfax, Virginia; Alexandria, Virginia; and Lakeland, Florida.  Moving to a new place has always been a bit of an adventure.  I no longer want to live in a big city or another country or anyplace where it snows. So I guess I have answered this more with where I wouldn't go...

Thanks for popping in!  Today is our son, Joey's birthday. Peace & hugs.

  4. It's stressful when health care plans are being decided, but hoping for good doctors and the best plan to get your husband feeling good again.

  5. Obviously it is "just" the valve causing the problem because they would have done a full pulmonary work-up before his test. That is what I experienced with the pneumonia. But the heart not working 100% produces the same symptoms. It is no fun to have your health compromised for sure!

  7. Missing Florida right now, but won't be in a couple of months! I was a bit too far South ,thinking about it now...sub-tropical.
So glad that things are progressing in the right way. Prayers always for a great outcome.

    1. If you want someone to show you around Lakeland, I make a pretty good tour guide and we explored 55+ communities before settling on Mas Verde. Open offer!!

  15. Happy Birthday, Joey!!!
Loved your response to Challenge #5, Terri. The grass sure doesn't grow any greener on the other side of that proverbial fence, does it? I hope before too long I'll feel the same way.
