Day 3: Your First Kiss or First Love - Best Memory
Well, my first crush was in 4th grade and his name was Doug Pillows. That's the first time I remember "liking" a boy. I'm sure he had no idea and I don't even really remember what he looked like or why I liked him. My first love (as I know it now) is Joe. Yes, I was married before and believed I was in love back then. Now I know what love really is. My first kiss? I have no idea. When I was in junior high school, we had parties and played "Flashlight" (not spin the bottle). The lights were out, the person who was "it" had a flashlight and girls and boys were paired up and were supposed to not get caught kissing by the flashlight. It was fun and pretty innocent and I have no idea who I kissed first.

Thanks again for your prayers and good thoughts for Joe. We are waiting to hear from the surgeon to make that consultation appointment. Joe is doing fine after yesterday's procedure. We are just both re-adjusting our thoughts since they didn't go ahead with the valve replacement while we were there. Now we are playing the waiting game again. The good news about all of this is that there is no immediate emergency or cause for concern since there is time for a consult on which procedure will work best for Joe. We are trusting the path we are on.
Peace & hugs!!
Terri, I am so sorry to hear that Joe has to have valve replacement surgery. I will certainly keep him in my prayers. I have been away from blogland for a while and I'm just now playing catch-up.
ReplyDeleteOh no on Joe, so sorry...keeping you all in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI am a textbook first born as well Terri. Probably why we like each other so much. Prayers going up for Joe, that the drs determine the best treatment for his situation. Praying for you too as it is hard to be the one on the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri! I've been away from Blogger and just now returned. I am sorry to hear about Joe and hope that he will have a restful recovery. I'd not heard of that flashlight game. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's all in God's hands and His perfect timing. I'm glad Joe is doing fine and will be checking back here to see the latest status. The waiting game is hard sometimes. Prayers for peace.
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping Joe in my prayers. And I'm still getting to know you...did not know you were a cancer survivor. I'm so glad! Take care and hopefully you'll get some good news this week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI think when one's all psyched for something, then the puzzle pieces are rearranged, it takes some mental calisthenics - and prayers. 'Thy will be done.' Yes, you're truly blessed!
ReplyDeleteI'm the oldest of 4 and also the textbook oldest child! No wonder I always think we are so alike!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know all of that about you, so I found that pretty interesting. I am a baby of four children, so does that make us opposites? Yet, I think we are a lot alike in a lot of ways...
ReplyDeletePraying for Joe. God has him covered.
