April Challenge & Sunday Blessings...

Today's April Challenge Question:

#8  A book you loved and one you didn't...

You know, I can't think of a book I didn't love because I put them aside without a second thought. If I can't "get into" a book by the end of the second chapter, I usually don't continue.   Having my books on my Kindle makes it really easy to send one to archive.

Now... there have been lots of books I loved, like all eight of the Outlander books, but there are two books I have read more than four times each.  Gone With The Wind and The Once and Future King. Love, love, love them.

I am not counting the Bible because loving it is a given.

Thanks for checking in!!  Have a blessed Sunday, dear friends!  Peace & hugs.

  1. I need to look up the Outlander series; you are the second person that has read or is reading them. Have a blessed Sunday my friend.

  3. I've read GWTW a few times, too. I have never seen the movie, though. I do have two follow up books to GWTW to read that I haven't gotten around to yet. I think I'm afraid they will mess with perfection.

    1. If Scarlette is one of them, it is awful. I was SO disappointed.

  6. I can't think of favorite book titles...I read too many and they get all muddled together in my mind...I haven't read the Outlander books either...I must check that out at the library next time. Who is the author? I hope you are having a peaceful, restful Sunday afternoon. I've been resting after a busy few days. Naptime is always so refreshing....zzzzzzzz...LOL. Blessings...and I'd love to have "coffee" with you too, but make mine tea, please!

  7. The author is Diana Gabaldon. Each one is over 900 pages, so they can seem daunting, but the story is so fun! Can't wait for the 9th book to come out, continuing the story!

  9. It's been lots of years, but I loved GWTW ... so much so, I wanted a daughter who I could name "Carreen."
So many books, so little time! Like you, if I'm not hooked by the 2nd or 3rd chapter I won't force the issue.

  10. I am with you on not reading book if I can't get into it. I also read on my Kindle. Can you believe that I've never read GWTW? I really need to!

  11. One day when I was about 12 years old I was bored and my mom gave me GWTW to read. I was hooked and certainly surprised her. She thought I would put it down and find something else to do. I'm with you about not reading books I can't get into. There are so many books I want to read that I will not waste my time reading a book I'm not really interested in.
