Last week we talked about things that bug us. This week (and maybe next), how about things that we like about the holidays.

5. How soon do you start shopping? After Thanksgiving (but not black Friday).
6. Real or fake tree? Fake.

17. Be honest: If I hear this/these Christmas songs again I will throw up Elvis singing Blue Christmas.
18. Give or Receive? Give.
19. Eggnog or Mulled Cider? Cider.
20. Ham or Turkey? Both!!
Happy third Sunday of Advent. Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

Oh boy, could we ever have a Christmas movie-a-thon if we got together. All of your favorites match up with mine! Over 80 cards sent? I think you win the prize for the most sent. It seems from about my age on down, cards just aren't a thing any longer.
ReplyDeleteI would love to pop some corn and settle in with you for a movie marathon! Fun! We used to send over 100 cards but I cut back on the list considerably. We both have large families/extended families and we have also both lived in five different states where we still touch base with folks once or twice a year. It's a nice way to stay in touch with people we never see anymore.
DeleteYou know the card exchange that I have at church and I am guess I did about 80 as well, and received the same. Mary Did You Know is my favorite right now, and hearing Elvis smoooz doesnt thrill me at all either. Love the movies, but I am an egg nog drinker! Happy Sunday dear friend.
ReplyDeleteJoe LOVES egg nog. I can hardly stand the smell of it! I'll take the cider and you and Joe can have all the egg nog you want! LOL
DeleteRolling laughter over Elvis and Blue Christmas...that is one song that does get on my nerves, lol. AND giggling over the ELF movie, that actor gets on my nerves, grown men ought not act the way he does, just saying, lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a beautiful day, friend.
I just can't stand the Elvis version of Blue Christmas. Wouldn't be so bad without those back-up singers - they make me nuts! I don't like any Will Farrell movie. Period.
DeleteI stopped sending out cards years ago. Wow 80 cards is a lot.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Elf. Some people love it and some hate it. Guess I will have to watch it one of these days.
Have a great day!
Wishing you a good day too, Kim!
DeleteI enjoyed reading your answers. 80 Cards is a record I would bet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Annie!
DeleteLove to hear about your Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you, Sandie!
DeleteI'm with Linda and Joe on Egg Nog - love it! It was fun reading your answers.
ReplyDeleteHe can't wait to see it in the stores and had some this year right before Thanksgiving. LOL
DeleteIt took me a while to warm up to "Mary, Did You Know", but now I love it.
ReplyDelete80 Cards ... wow! I quit doing our newsletter/cards about 4 years ago. Yes, I still feel guilty. But, like a former colleague, I'm considering doing Valentines cards in lieu of my oversight.
We have a couple of friends who do New Year cards. Keeping in touch with friends anytime is fine!!
DeleteI enjoyed reading your answers. You know those photo cards we get at Christmas? They used to be pictures of the children. I notice that this year all of them are pictures of cats and dogs. We all must be getting older.
