A Bah-Humbug Sunday Stealing....

Welcome to this week's Sunday Stealing Meme, given to us weekly by Bev Sykes.  You can join in HERE!  Thanks, Bev!

Bah Humbug!  Before we get all warm and cozy for the upcoming holidays, here's a chance to let out all those angry feelings you've been harboring.  I copied this a long time ago and don't remember where I stole it from.

TV show I loathe don't likeLoved Blacklist when it first came out. Don't like it now.

Movie I loathe don't like:  Old Yeller; Dances WIth Wolves... any movie in which an animal dies.

Music genres I loathe:  Rap

Magazine which annoys me:  Time or any liberal rag

Makes me cranky at a restaurantInattentive wait staff

Makes me cranky in public:  Crowds

Makes me impatient at home: When it appears that we will be late because someone isn't ready to go (not me, by the way).

Makes me impatient at work:  Nothing!! HA!!  I'm retired!!

Celebrity I hate don't respect:  Jane Fonda, Whoopie, Oprah, Susan Sarandon, Barbra Streisand  (you get my drift)

Music artist I hate: I don't know enough of them anymore....any artists who sing foul-mouthed Rap I guess.

I could care less about: Most politicians

Blogger's habit that annoys you: My blogging friends don't annoy me.

Feature on your blog you hate:  None that come to mind. I designed it, for goodness sake.

Politician that you hate:  I'll plead the fifth so as not to cause a war here.  You all know I am a conservative Republican and a Patriot.

Hate and Loathe are very strong words that I really don't like to use.  My emotions about most of these are not as powerful as hate or loathing.  I'm not a hater, but I have strong convictions and certain principles that guide me always, and I won't compromise my integrity.

Joe still feels good, praise God!!  We are going to a Christmas Concert at the First United Methodist Church this evening, with friends of ours from the Museum.  We will go out for dinner afterward.  It will be fun to see some of the old gang we haven't seen in awhile. The concert will be amazing.  We've gone a few years in a row.  The church is huge and they have several choirs, including an acapella choir, an orchestra and a bell choir who all perform Christmas music. It is very professional.

Monday, Helen, and Cheryl are taking us out to eat and then back to their house for birthday cake.  Someone in the house turns 66 on December 11th.  Who could that be?

Thanks for your visit!!  Peace & hugs!!

  1. Hate and loathe are strong words, that I choose not to include in my vocabulary either. It takes so much time to hate something or someone, so I just dont do it. A smile goes a long way vs. that frown. So happy that Joe has recovered and you are able to get out and go again. Life is short at best, so enjoy every day. That concert sounds/sounded amazing...cant wait to get your review.

  4. Absolutely love the way you described your feelings on hate/loathe. I feel the same way. It's taken me a while to get here, but we've been told to love even our enemies to set us apart from the world, and that is what I try to do. I don't have to like them, but if they came to me in need I would help and when a harsh thought about them wants to rear its ugly head, I try to remember to pray for them instead. They are still a soul God cares about. Plus hate never seems to hurt the one being hated...it eats the hater and turns into bitterness if not checked.

    1. Spot on about hate eating the hater up and that it does nothing to the hatee (is that a word?). I am terrible about responding to comments and will try to do better (pink faced!).

  6. As usual I agree with you! I don't like those words, and I agree on politicians, music, celebrities... However, in our house it's Bob waiting on me! However, that's because he wants to leave too early. :)
Glad Joe is doing well. Enjoy your day and happy pre-birthday!

  7. Nice, how you've turned an ugly word around. Who needs more negativity in their lives, particularly this time of year?

I totally agree with you about #2. I've even quit watching the National Geographic channel. Circle of life or not, nature bites.

Have a super HAPPY BIRTHDAY eve!
