My Church Saturday 9.....

I am linking up with Sam Winters for this week's Saturday 9.  Join in HERE!!

My Church

Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: My Church (2016)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) This song is about a woman who loves singing along with her car radio. Is that something you enjoy?  Yes, when I am in the car alone!  LOL

2)  The video begins with Maren Morris finishing her cigarette before getting behind the wheel. Do you allow smoking in your car?  Absolutely not!!!

3) In this song, Maren admits she's lied. What's the last fib you told?  I gave up fibbing a long time ago.  First, my face gives me away and second, why tell a lie?  It always comes back to you in a bad way.

4) She mentions having her radio on the FM dial. Are you loyal to a single radio station? Or do you spin the dial?  I am pretty loyal to 105.5, The Dove, out of Tampa.  It is an oldies station and right now they are playing all Christmas music!

5) Maren was inspired to write this song while on a long car trip from Nashville to Los Angeles. When do you get your best ideas? (In the shower, behind the wheel, over lunch with friends ...)  In the shower, I guess.

6) She performed this song on Saturday Night Live last year. The host that week was John Cenna. Do you follow professional wrestling?  No, and I don't watch SNL anymore.

7) In 2016, when this song was popular, Alex Rodriguez played his final Major League Baseball game. He has embarked on a second career as a broadcaster. Would you be comfortable on camera?  No. I don't even like having my picture taken.

8) A 2016 study revealed that 43% of Americans own mutual funds, many in their 401(k)s and IRAs. Are you involved in the stock market?  Not personally. I was responsible for reporting on the museum's investments and working with the investment review committee - back before I retired!  We don't have enough money to be invested in anything.  Joe will laughingly say that we invest in groceries!

9) Random question: You have something awkward and embarrassing that you simply must tell a pal. You know your friend will not be happy with the news. Would you prefer to deliver it by email, in a phone call, or face to face?  I can't image what it might be, but my very best friend is Joe so I would talk with him face-to-face.  My BFF Elaine and my BFF Karen both live a long way away so it would most likely be email or a phone call.  My girlfriends here in Lakeland would hear from me face-to-face.

Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks for your visit and thanks for your prayers!!  Joe is doing well and we are happy he is home....so are the cats!  They missed him!!  We are both tired and will be seriously sleeping in today.  Fingers crossed and prayers still requested for the next two weeks.  He has just a few diet restrictions and it seems if we make it through two weeks without a re-occurrence that we will be safer that it won't happen again.  If it does happen again, he will probably need surgery.

Peace & hugs!!

  3. I am so happy Joe is home...keeping you both in prayer. I agree on the lying. Folks say I am way too honest...well, that comes from being beaten as a child for telling a lie. smiles

Hope you have a lovely Saturday, friend.

  4. I'm glad Joe is home! You two take it easy and rest up today.
I don't watch SNL these days, either. I'm often awake at that time of night, but the few times I've turned it on I just don't find it all that funny any more.

  5. Praise God Joe is home! Praying he makes it through the two weeks with the restrictions so he does not have the problem again. That is rough stuff to deal with.
I quit SNL, also. They left funny behind a long time ago. Besides not being funny, they have become overly politic in a negative way. If you don't have FOX network, you don't have encouragement on much of anything when you turn the TV on. We like Animal Planet more and more. LOL. Seriously though - - watch Animal Cribs if you ever get a chance.

  9. So glad Joe is home and I pray there will be no recurrence.

I laughed at your comment about investing in groceries. Isn't that the truth?? If we could only figure out how to stop eating we'd have more money, hahahaha!

  10. YAY for sleeping in with your best friend!
105.5, the Dove? That sounds like my own favorite station when I lived there! Dick Ring was the morning guy; I had a bit of a crush on his voice. LOL! I don't recall it being an oldies station; rather, the tag line, "We play The Music of Your Lives."

    1. I'm sure it's the same station, but Dick Ring isn't on anymore. I seem to remember that tag line, and now it's more like "....the music you grew up with"!
