Linking up with Deb, over at Breathing In Grace, for Friday Foto Friends.....
I just have a little 'hodgepodge' of photos to share today. They are all from the last day or so, but there is no rhyme or reason to them...
A close-up of Lucy's nose. I took it by mistake, but liked it too much to delete it!
The front of our Museum. I love the colors of the flower bed. Prettier in person.
The City has started putting up Christmas decorations, which includes a floating Christmas tree in the middle of most of our smaller lakes. This one is in Lake Morton.
Lake Morton is a bird sanctuary and the ducks and geese have free-reign to cross the street at will. There is a hefty fine if you hit one of them, so we are always sitting still while they cross. This was on the way home last night.
Lake Hollingsworth is the walking lake. If you go all the way around it, it's a 5-K (3 miles). It is also where a lot of the wealthy people live. The homes are worth multi-millions and this is a new mansion being built where another one was just torn down. I can tell you they paid $700,000 for the house that they had torn down to build this one (it was in the newspaper). I see it every day on my way to and from work. This is the side that faces the lake. I need to get a better shot for you. It really is impressive. The owners are museum patrons. Maybe I'll get to see inside when it is finished!
I don't know about you, but I am SO happy it's Friday!! No big plans for the weekend, except we start cat-sitting for our neighbors. They are going on a week-long Thanksgiving cruise with some of their kids & grandkids. Should be a fun get-away for them!
My new glasses are ready to be picked up. We will do that tonight. I also need to get to the grocery for the rest of my Thanksgiving dinner and extras for the holiday weekend. So happy the kids will be here...just wish our youngest could get away for a holiday. He won't be alone, so we are happy for that.
Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

Yes ma'am so happy its Friday...especially after getting profiled yesterday from the Univ. police. ANYWAYS---enjoyed your photos, thank you for the smiles. Have a beautiful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful area....such a contrast to all of our landscape. It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a week away and then Christmas only a month after that. Where in the world has time gone? I'm very glad it's Friday, also, but my reason is that finally the ordeal with my hubby's ankle is coming to an end. At least the part about whether or not he has a job. God is good. We have come to peace with the final decision. Thanks for linking up. Hope you have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow that mansion looks very impressive.
ReplyDeleteThe floating trees always look so pretty light up at night.
Have a great weekend!
Enjoyed the pictures and I really must say, Lucy has a sweet nose! lol Hope you have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy pictures. Right now the white pelican and the sand hill cranes are here in Decatur at the Tennessee River. Lots of my FB friends have been posting pictures. We are fortunate to live in a lovely area as you and Joe do as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. The cat's nose would make a great avatar. Very cute. It would be nice to see the inside of the MacMansion when completed (not being snarky, that's what the little ones are called). I'm glad it's not my home. I wouldn't want to pay their taxes. Oi! It's still so dry here that all our colors are gone. Everything is coated with dust and grime. Ugh. We need rain! Hope your day is blessed. ~:)
ReplyDeleteIt does make for happy feelings when the kids are coming, doesn't it? My favorite photo was Lucy's nose. Too cute! I hope y'all have a wonderful celebration! Can't wait to see the pictures!
ReplyDeleteCute nose! Some of the best photos are accidental. I love the fact that your lake is a bird sanctuary and they are protected. Have a restful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love when 'accident' pictures turn out awesome. Call it ART & tell everyone you meant to do it :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is a cool pic. Very clear
Love the nose pic! So cute. I am always amazed when an expensive home is torn down to build a better and more expensive one. I really enjoy taking tours of homes. That one will be something to see.
ReplyDeleteBet that house will be something else and cant wait to see the finished product. It has been a long week to me, and I am glad Friday is here. Enjoyed all your pictures today.
ReplyDeleteYes, love Fridays! Well, not as much as I did when I was still working, but it is still a great day! Your cat nose pic is delightful! Made ME smile. Would definitely love to see that mansion when it is finished! I wonder how many people will live in that huge house? And we keep thinking of downsizing! Looks like you have some beautiful places to walk and ride. Thank you for sharing them with us. Florida is a place of many surprises and wonders!
ReplyDeleteLucy's nose is adorable. It looks like a little bunny nose. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely get pictures of that house!!!
ReplyDeleteA Thanksgiving cruise...sounds devine! :)
That image of Lucy's nose is awesome! Almost, I can imagine it as an 11"x14" canvas! :)
ReplyDeleteThat mansion is crazy. All's I can think is how much to pay for heating and A/C!
I think that nose is cute too! I am amazed by that house and the fact that they paid 700,000 for something they had torn down!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy it's Friday too - my weekend off! :)
