Thank goodness it's Friday and we can link up with Deb, over at Breathing In Grace for Friday Foto Friends!
I mentioned in a previous post that several pieces of my grandma's milk glass were saved for me from the auction that they had. I was so happy to have a few pieces of her collection to keep in remembrance of her. She told me years ago that she wanted me to have her milk glass. We are downsizing here and I really didn't want more than a couple of things. These are the pieces Jane and Jim pulled out for me:
I know nothing about milk glass. I know there are different kinds or different names and I really don't care, but if one of you knows about it, please educate me!!
Thanks for visiting my FFF today, and congratulations to Deb for the start of year two for this sweet Friday meme!
I also want to say thank you to all of our Veterans for their service to our great country. This includes my husband, my dad (deceased), two brothers-in-law and a nephew who is currently serving. Bless you all!!
Peace & hugs!!

What a lovely post, Terri and I really like your "signature/thank you" at the end. I know fellow blogger, Bonnie, knows a lot of about Milk glass, smiles.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day friend.
I don't know anything about milk glass. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I have my great grandmothers depression glass that I will never get rid of - even though I'm downsizing like crazy!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love seeing your smiling face at the end of your posts! 😄 I think milk glass is beautiful and so glad you got some of your grandmother's. Thanks so much for being faithful to link up each week, my friend. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYours are in perfect condition. Milk glass must have been very popular 'way back when' because I have one of my mother's pieces (she died in 1966). I don't know anything about it either except it's valued by many collectors.
ReplyDeleteHappy Veterans Day to y'all too. Thank you veterans for your service. ~:)
My mom collects milk glass and has quite a bit of it. I don't know much about it, but I have a basket very similar to the one you have and it was manufactured by Fenton. I do know that older pieces still can pull in half decent money at auction while a lot of other glassware/china/crystal has dropped off some.
ReplyDeleteWow - those pieces make me think back to the day. My mom had some pieces. I wonder what happened to them. I need to ask her.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Terri. I have one piece of my grandmother's milk glass and I keep it on my bedside table.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about milk glass except it is very pretty. I have my mom's Depression glass in the pink, yellow, and green colors. Thank you for your tribute to our Vets.
ReplyDeletePeace and hugs to you, Terri. I don't know anything about milk glass either, but those are very lovely pieces. I am sure my Mom had some similar, but I guess we let them go in the estate sale. Hmmmm. Wish I'd known then. It's so nice to have treasures like that for keepsake.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful milk glass pieces. I had a milk glass lamp years ago, I didn't keep it and have regretted it many times. When I was young I don't think I realized what I had!! Have a great Friday!!
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt thanks to Joe, your dad and family members who served our Country. I love the milk glass from your grandmother. I like the pretty fluted edges. Wishing you a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe milk glass pieces are so pretty, delicate and glad you have them for sweet memories. Thanks to Joe, your Dad and other family members for their service. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about milk glass but those pieces look lovely and will always trigger memories for you. Lovely to have.
ReplyDeleteClaudia LOVES milk glass and my grandmother had a bunch of it. Claudia will be getting it when my aunt passes. Which I hope is never. :) So glad you got your grandmother's milk glass. I have one of my grandmother's hankies that she took to church on Sundays. I love that thing.
ReplyDeleteI know next-to-nothing about vintage glass, but surely appreciate the feelings attached to those sweet pieces!
ReplyDeleteI've my mother and grandmother's Fostoria pieces still in storage. Sad, but that olden elegance isn't witnessed so much anymore.
