Happy Friday!! That means the end of the work week for most of us and it also means it's time to link up with Deb, over at Breathing In Grace, for the Friday Foto Friends. We just share a photo or several with our linky buddies and all of you! Click HERE to join the fun!
Wednesday evening, what started out as getting together with my coworker and her husband for dinner at a local Italian restaurant (Romeo's) turned into a much bigger event with about 20 of us, including my boss's mom who was celebrating her birthday. It turned into a very fun party. We quickly passed around a birthday card for her, and another friend/co-worker stopped at the Dollar Store and picked up a crown for her. She was a very good sport and I think loved the attention. It was a very fun evening and we didn't leave until around 8:00 p.m.
My boss, taking a picture of me taking a picture of her...and her mom, the birthday girl.
Here she is in all her finery! Queen Mary, the birthday girl.
A long-shot down the very long table. It's hard to visit with everyone without getting up and moving down the table to speak to people. That's Beverly in the turquoise top doing just that. She used to work with us, but still checks in now and then and we include her when we can. It was fun seeing her! She is in her 80s and came to Romeo's from a church event. Bless her!
Ellen brought her husband and two kids; Diana's hubby had to work but she brought her two boys.
Pal brought two of her kiddos. Hubby was there for a few minutes but had to go pick up their other daughter from practice. That's him in the green shirt.
Joe leaned back so I could get coworker Al and his lovely wife. We all played musical chairs as more people arrived, because we kept moving the kids down and putting the adults with other adults! LOL Of course, we told Joe it was because no one wanted to sit next to him....
Coworker Kalisa and her hubby. They are the ones we were having dinner with before this turned into such a big event!!
This is all but a couple of us. The waitress (who was great!) stood on a chair to get us all in, back by all the pizza boxes! It was a fun evening. I love my coworkers like family and am so blessed.
Happy Friday!! Thanks for stopping by! Peace & hugs!

How awesome to be such a tight knit group of co-workers. Just like family! You live such a fun-filled life. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a great weekend!

AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for the smiles, Terri. Have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time. I can almost hear all the voices and laughter there must have been. How nice of the waitress to get a picture of you all like that. Getting on a chair was above and beyone. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had fun. That's a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Sure looks like a great time was had by all. Wouldn't it be great if some restaurants would have big round tables for big parties, that way it would be easier to visit with everyone!
ReplyDeleteLove an impromptu party!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and on the spur of the moment too!!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than happy people gathering together :)
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary looks so regal for her day :)
You will miss those sweet people once you retire, but will be able to visit now and then. It is great to work with those you really like and enjoy being around. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
ReplyDeletePretty neat, how y'all make a point of remembering and including Beverly. (That's what friends do.)
Diane and Ellen look so much alike in profile! How I'd love to be able to wear my hair that way! Happy Friday!

I do so love watching my grand girls playing and having fun without a care in the world. I think our kids are forced to leave childhood way too soon. Thanks for your visit and your comments.
ReplyDeleteI love he way your evening turned into a party and celebrated Queen Mary! Good times and those friendships are the perks of working with great people.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful night! Lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves.
ReplyDeleteI love impromptu gatherings with friends and family! Always such fun! Thanks for letting us come along and "crash the party"! Happy Birthday to your Mom!!! Love the crown and sash! You look like fun people!!! My kind of people! Happy Friday and Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteNice lookin' bunch there. Looks like fun. Hope your day is blessed. ~:)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lot of fun you all had! A nice looking group! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri, and happy Friday. I saw your comment on Arlene's blog just a few minutes ago. I know you are looking forward to retiring and being free to travel. These are fun photos of your co-workers. Looks like a lot of fun. A real blessing to enjoy one another's company and the birthday girl is a good sport. Want to thank you again for praying for my niece. She is doing well in school and has joined the band this year. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello Mildred! Happy to hear your niece is doing well! The power of prayer is an awesome thing!
DeleteHow wonderful to have such good people to work with! I get along with my coworkers, but I'm not really friends with any of them...at least not beyond Facebook.
ReplyDeleteThat DOES sound like such a good time! I miss the fun I used to have with the staff when I taught. We would go to Olive Garden on the last day each year, and it got really loud sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHow great that you can enjoy the company of your co-workers outside the job. It looks like a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteAn impromptu party: FUN!!!
