Linking up with Rebecca Jo, over at Knit by God's Hand, for Thankful Thursday!
- I'm thankful for my sweet husband, Joe, and that we had such a good birthday celebration for him all last weekend. Thankful that he has recovered from his stroke and was able to celebrate his birthday. Thank you God, Amen.
- I'm thankful that our son Joe and DiL Darlene are close enough for more frequent visits now.
- I'm thankful for good friends to share celebrations with.
- I'm thankful for a grandson who forgets we are in different time zones and wakes us up when he calls to wish his grandpa a happy birthday. Blessed. Even though the adrenaline of hearing the phone ring at night kept us awake for a couple of hours
- Blessed and thankful that Hurricane Hermine did very little damage in Lakeland and none in our neighborhood
- Thankful for my work family and a visit from a former co-worker yesterday. It was great catching up with her.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs.

I always love to read things others are thankful for. It shows where their heart is!!! HOPE you have a blessed Thursday, Ms. Terri. I'm thankful for precious blogging friends like you!
ReplyDeleteawww on your grandson....smiles....what great things to be thankful for. smiles
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the late night phone call causing a surge of adrenaline. We are always braced for bad news aren't we? We all need to be more grateful for our blessings. It is so easy to focus on our troubles.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for so much, but today am thankful for my blog friends, and you especially. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thankful list! Happy belated birthday, Joe! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with me! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful the storm didn't get as bad as they expected. Mother Nature has been harsh lately
I'm thankful for family, friends and the love of Christ. My life revolves around all three! Have a great Thankful Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for your blog that is always enjoyable, encouraging, and enthusiastic.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for all of your comments that ALWAYS lift me up. Blessed with these friendships!
ReplyDeleteCute one about your grandson. I have a visual of you both after the phone call lying on the bed staring at the ceiling! Phone calls from grandchildren are definitely something to be thankful about. You have a very good list there.
ReplyDeleteChuckling about your grandson's 'early' birthday greetings! Years ago, my dad did the same thing, from Bejing ... and had the audacity (lol) to have forgotten his calling card and had to reverse charges!
ReplyDeleteYour question sure put my mind in a nice place during this morning's commute. Best to focus on my blessings v. worrying what challenges lay in store!
That's a lot of wonderful things to be thankful for. "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;. Praise him, all creatures here below;. Praise him above, ye heav'nly host;. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." Amen! ~:)
ReplyDeleteAmen!!
DeleteLots to be thankful for! I love the part about your grandson. He loves his grandpa!
ReplyDeleteA lovely reason for the phone to ring during the night but I'd find it hard to get back to sleep too. Great list Terri
