Friday Foto Friends!!!

It's time for Friday Foto Friends!  Linking up with Deb over at Breathing in Grace.  Join us!!

We haven't been anywhere this week, since supper with my cousins on Tuesday, so I looked around the office today for some new photos to share. It's not exciting or very interesting but here we go....

The above photo is what I look at from my desk. I've been boxing up old files for storage or shredding. My file drawers are packed and it's time to clean out. I've already filled six boxes for storage and a huge box full of papers to shred.  We have a shredding truck come every two years.

These plaques hang on the wall beside my desk. For seven years, I was a team captain for an American Cancer Society Relay For Life team called Jeremiah's Friends (after Jeremiah 29:11) and we won some fundraising awards over a few of those years. I am also a 10-gallon blood donor so that one is hanging there too.

I've posted pictures from my window before but never the entire corner window. I have a corner office and the blinds are usually closed because of the sun shining in so bright. That is the roof of our auditorium that you can see.

This is to the right of our main entrance.  The City of Lakeland takes care of our landscaping in exchange for the Museum letting the library share our parking lot. It's a great partnership.  I have no idea what they planted last week, but it is quite interesting.  Do any of you know plants?

Here is a closer look at the plants. Any ideas?

This week has seemed long to me. I'm very glad it's Friday!  Thanks for your visit today!  Peace & hugs!

  3. Love the name of the Relay for Life team. ;-) It's so interesting to see where you work. Love your office simply because of the windows. When I worked I had one small window beside my desk and it kept me sane just getting to look out and see nature....and goats and cows and peacocks. ;-) Thanks for sharing. HOPE you have a great weekend.

  4. Thank you for sharing these pictures from your office. Looks like a lovely place to work. Thank you for your work with the American Cancer Society relays. Our middle son died from cancer in 2014, and anyone who tries to help stamp out cancer in any way is a hero to me. Thank you and God bless you. Happy Friday!

  5. My desk sits in front of my only window and my computer screen blocks my view. :( You have very nice windows in your office.

  8. Seeing a work desk sure brings back memories of all the years I worked. I know you're looking forward to retirement too. It's great!
I'm not sure what the plants are. Maybe a quick Google will reveal that little mystery or a call to the company that planted them.
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)

  9. It's nice to see your work space, but oh my goodness, all that paper to get rid of. I don't know what the flowers/plants are. I don't recognize them. Love the name of your relay team and a big High five to you on all your plaques and awards, especially the blood donations.

  10. That's pretty neat to see what you see every weekday, Terri! Is that a Marilyn Monroe print in the first photo?
Your corner office looks ripe for watching clouds and daydreaming. :)

  11. What a view from your window!! I'm not familiar with those plants, but my daughter Lisa probably is. She's quite an amazing landscaper.

  12. Those plants are not familiar to me - they are interesting, though. Love your corner window. It lifts my spirits to be able to see outside.
