Since I did a Throwback Tuesday I'll do a Thankful Thursday today....
I am thankful for my job at Polk Museum of Art. What a blessing to arrive there every morning for the last 18 years (plus). Yes, I am looking forward to retirement, but that's because I am old and tired! I love the people I work with and the work we do in our community!
I am thankful for our home. It is small, but it has been where we hang our hats for almost 26 years. AND, the pool is warm enough for a swim. I was in last weekend!
I am thankful for my family, my church and church family, and for our pets! Isn't this a pretty photo of Lucy?
I am so thankful for the power of prayer. Can't imagine my life without it.
My day is starting with our Mayor's Prayer Breakfast!! The speaker is Norris Burkes, who writes a column that is in our Sunday newspaper. I read it every week and am so excited to hear him speak in person!! This is National Day of Prayer and I am pleased that it is celebrated in our city. How about yours?
Event Description: Lakeland Mayor Howard Wiggs and the Citrus Center Kiwanis Foundation extend an invitation to the 2015 Mayor's Prayer Breakfast which celebrates the National Day of Prayer. The featured speaker is Norris Burkes, Chaplain for California Air National Guard. - See more at: http://www.lakelandchamber.com/events/eventdetail.aspx?EventID=2838#sthash.HXXsKoWn.dpuf
Wishing you a good Thursday! It is Friday Eve! Peace & hugs!

Pool looks very inviting. Enjoy your breakfast. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI would want to spend some time every day in that pool. I could imagine eating lunch out by that pool and then taking a dip. Love your Lucy. She is very pretty. I posted a picture of my Lucy today too (mine's a dog) for my Thankful Thursday post. :)
ReplyDeleteI can not imagine my life without prayer... Enjoy your Prayer Breakfast.
ReplyDeleteHaha. 'It's Friday Eve.' LOL But truly, we certainly do have much to be thankful for. It is wonderful that you like your job, even though you're looking forward to retirement. That pool looks so inviting, Terri! And of course Lucy is the star of the show. I'd give her a purple ribbon for sure!
ReplyDeleteThankfully prayer is still celebrated. What a lovely kitty Miss Lucy is! I forgot to mention, i think, that my friend's cat is doing better. Enjoy your day. Can you believe we have an extremely warm day, so I need to start digging out summer things.
ReplyDeleteYour cat is beautiful. We have family who live in Florida and your pool reminds me so much of theirs. Yes, today is the National Day of Prayer and I'm also so grateful that's something that can NEVER be taken from us. We can ALWAYS pray! HOPE you have an awesome weekend.
ReplyDelete"Friday Eve". I've not heard it put that way before. I like it!
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful and I love your screened-in pool. We had one in our house in Orlando years ago.
I appreciate your words here (and what you left at my blog) about prayer. Our Lord wants us to be in communication with Him at all times. Have a good weekend!
Purrrrrrecious kitty photo!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd no wonder you're smiling hugely in your profile photo...you lead a perfect life.
Oh, and happy, happy anniversary come Monday.
So much to be thankful for! Your home - and pool are lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe had a prayer service at church tonight.
