Saturday:9 Here I Go Again....

Thanks to our hostess, Samantha Winters, for this fun meme every Saturday.  Give her a visit HERE and join in the fun!

Here I Go Again

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Here I Go Again (1982)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) This song originally appeared on Whitesnake's Saints and Sinners album. Are you feeling more saintly or sinful this morning?
Actually, neither. I just feel 'normal', which falls somewhere between, I guess!

2) Whitesnake was formed by Brit David Coverdale, who now lives in Lake Tahoe, NV. Have you ever wanted to relocate to another country?
No, not really.  When we were in Italy, I loved being there, but when you get down to politics and economy....ain't no place like home.  I'm a patriot to the bone.

3) In the song, Coverdale says he "was born to walk alone." Do you enjoy time on your own? Or do you quickly get bored or lonely?
I actually do quite well on my own and am rarely ever bored.  I can't say that I've ever really felt lonely either.

4) During the band's 1980s heyday, Coverdale was known for his skintight leather pants. Do you own leather pants or slacks?
No, I don't and never have.  I have a leather coat that I never wear, here in Florida.

5) What about snakeskin?
No snakeskin, either.

6) It's estimated that 20,000 people die of snake bite every year. Approximately 1,000 suffer fatal spider bites. Less than 50 are killed each year by sharks. Considering sharks, spiders and snakes, which do you find scariest?
Probably a shark.

7) In 1982, when this song was popular, the world lost Princess Grace of Monaco. Before she became a royal, she was film star Grace Kelly. Have you ever seen a Grace Kelly movie?
Yes, and she was so beautiful!!  "Rear Window", "To Catch a Thief", and "High Noon" are three that come to mind, that I have seen. Perhaps there are more. Such a classy lady.  Probably not the best actress, but she had "the looks" for it.

8) Speaking of movies, the top-grossing film of 1982 was ET: The Extra Terrestrial. Have you seen it?
Yes, I've seen it several times and we do have it in our movie collection.  It's a classic now!

9) Random question: How many timepieces will you have to reset when we spring ahead this weekend?
Thankfully the computerized ones all reset themselves.  But there are six other clocks in the house that will need to be reset, and Joe and I both collect watches, so there are lots of them.  As for the watches, I only reset the one I am going to wear, so they don't all get done at once, and some probably haven't been worn since the last time change!

Wishing you a good Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!  While you are reading this, we are probably on the historic home tour.  Pictures will follow!  Peace & blessings!

  3. Good song. Ugh I hate changing clocks. It is really nice that electronics do it by them selves. Have a great weekend!

  4. We have another few weeks before we have to spring forward, at which time I'll only change the time on my alarm clock. I have a couple other clocks, but never bother with changing the time on them. I never wear a watch any more since the mobile phone keeps better time anyway. And as most my friends know, my home is in Spain, despite the politics and economy. LOL. Seriously, the lifestyle here, for me, is so much better.

    1. Brenda, I always wonder how it would be to live in a different country, where the politics are so different. You have been in Spain for so long, I'm sure it feels more like home to you, and probably would for me. I've thought about Italy, Ireland, Scotland. It would be so interesting, I think, but I'm not sure how I would handle it.
