Throwback Thursday....dreaming of New Orleans!

I was looking through some old photos and ran across these, from our first trip to New Orleans, 15 years ago.  We were there in September 2000.  We've been back since then, and are looking forward to going again in May, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.

I posted these next two on Facebook, but wanted to put them here, too.  My nephew Mike, and my niece Sara were trying alligator meat for the first time.  We were over at St. Pete Beach, also 15 years ago.  Mike is now a senior at Ohio State, heading to med school next.  Sara is a graduate of Ohio University and is a teacher.  My brother would be so proud of his kiddos.

Thanks for stopping by!  It's Friday Eve! Enjoy your day!

  1. I always wanted to see New Orleans. I have not tried gator but I have heard it tastes like chicken. Have a great day!

  3. May will be here before we know it! Your niece and nephew were brave to try alligator, especially since they were aware of what they were eating.

  7. I have never been to New Orleans, but would love to. Not sure about the alligator meat though. Your brother's kids sound wonderful. So your brother is no longer living?
