My day, this morning, starts with cortisone shots in my knees. I am so ready for them!! My knees both, but especially my right knee, are really hurting right now. The relief doesn't last a full three months anymore.
On to something more fun.... Gala 2015 "Masquerade"....
One of the galleries, Friday morning. We (staff) "dressed" the tables, with the linens.
The band was great and lots of people danced, after dinner.
The salad (orzo and greens) was very, very good!
The entree was lobster tail, fillet, asparagus and spinach gnocci.
Sorry I forgot to take a photo before I cut the tail out and sliced some of the beef.
Joe and I were seated at table 25. Our table-mates were familiar and fun.
Terri & Joe.....
We were sold out, at 275(ish) people. Tickets are $750 a couple.
My boss, Claire, was 'whimsical' in her dress and mask.
The silent auction items were in the main hallway gallery.
The hors d'oeuvres stations were located in four places. This was the biggest. They were replaced by the desserts, after dinner, but I didn't get a picture of the desserts (not that good, actually).
We had a string quartet playing as guests arrived. They are students from our local performing and visual arts high school.
My boss, in red, and the committee in the receiving line.
My sweetie, in his tux, before we left.
There we are in our finery. I look as tired as I felt. It was a long night, by the time we finished with the silent auction, at the end of the night. We had our picture taken, earlier, in the photo booth. They aren't available yet, so I'll have to share it later. I will say that there is glitter, from my top, everywhere! In my car, all through our house, and even in the restroom at work.....geesh!! I left a trail of glitter everywhere I went.
Here is the "official photo booth photo"....
Thanks for your visit!! Wishing you a good week! Peace & love.

You two look very nice. Your new top looks great. That's a shame it left glitter everywhere. Food looks yummy. Gala looks like fun. Hope your knees feel better after the shots.
ReplyDeleteYou shine!!! What a fancy affair. I think you both look great and the food, fun and familiar faces made it a night to remember.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your knees ... and the glitter.
You and hubby looked great! Thanks for posting all of the pics, I enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteI hope your shots bring you swift and long-lasting relief :)

You Guys look great. Can't tell you were tired at all. Keep spreading your sparkles, Toots. Happy Monday :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gala... Everything looked just gorgeous. And the food must have been divine... I love that picture of you and hubby. You don't look tired... Love your dress.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
I hope your knees are feeling better by now. Love the photo of you and Joe. It's too bad your top couldn't keep its glitter to itself. Does it have to be hand washed or dry-cleaned? The important thing, of course, is that everyone had a good time.
ReplyDeleteIt is "spot clean". It wasn't a cheap top. Came from Macy's for $129 so I'm not happy with the shedding glitter, but it is very pretty and I got lots of compliments. Maybe I'll take a vacuum to it before I wear it again! HA!
DeleteVery pretty, Terri!! Thank you for sharing...keeping you in prayer. Blessings
ReplyDeleteIt looks like such a fun evening. You and Joe look amazing - that's a great picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great event! And I just LOVE that picture of you and Joe!
ReplyDeleteI always love a man in a tux and a uniform!! You both look wonderful. The party looks like it was fun (and the FOOD!). I have prayed the cortisone injections helped your knees and that the Lord gives you wisdom in dealing with health issues. Growing old isn't for sissies!
