Ten Thoughts for Tuesday....

  • My Tuesday is beginning with my annual mammogram. Great way to start the day (not), but necessary. Last year, I ended up having surgery to remove an atypical papillary lesion . No cancer, praise God, but those nasty atypical lesions can turn into cancer. Hoping this one is clear. I've had surgery for them, twice.
  •  We were asked to participate in the funeral Mass for our neighbor. The service is Thursday. It is an honor.
  • Getting excited about our 4th of July celebration. Not sure yet, that Tristan is driving up, but we will have our oldest son here.
  • Joe cooked burgers on the grill last night. I love it when he does the cooking. Burgers and watermelon made our dinner. Easy for me!
  • I was really tired yesterday. Took some B12 this morning, and hope it perks me up today.
  •  I am still working on digitizing old photos, but the boxes and piles never seem to get smaller.
  • My pile of mending is getting higher, too. It is a chore to pull out the sewing machine and set it up in the dining room or on the breakfast bar in the kitchen. It can't stay out, so I have to do it when I have time to get the work done, and then put it away. I miss having "my" room...lost it when we downsized in our move to Florida. It is my 'good excuse' for not sewing anymore.
  • My brace is working well, by the way! The hardest part is getting it on right. It feels great when it is positioned properly, but makes me miserable when it is off. I'll get it figured out.
  •  Year end at work. Brings a lot of things that have to get done in the next two weeks. Details, details. Only an accountant would understand. Details, details...and then I have to prepare for the annual audit. I look forward to the end of July, actually.
  • I think this is #10, so I will wish you all a good Tuesday and a great July!! Thanks for stopping by. Blessings!!

  1. Good morning, Terri! Saying a prayer for you this morning that your mammogram comes back normal. That would be wonderful if Tristan could also join you all for the holiday weekend! My mom sometimes has to get a shot of B12 and what a difference it makes. Have a terrific Tuesday!

  2. We sure do have lots in common today. My sewing machine has to come out of hiding every time I want to use it. Sometimes I think using that 3rd bedroom for a sewing room would suit my needs much better, I have no idea who's coming for the 4th. We had burgers last night too!! and I am in the process of getting all my old photos and all the ones I inherited from my mom digital. What an undertaking. Have a super duper Tuesday!!

  3. Anything grilled is my fav, but burgers and watermelon are near perfect!! I know you are looking forward to having your son visit. Sewing.....my mending pile is high too and I have to put my sewing machine on the kitchen table, so it cant stay put either. I know you will be glad when the end of July comes and all the auditing etc. is done. Praying your 'mammy' has good results.

  4. I have the same problem with sewing machine. It is a pain in the butt setting it up then having to put it away the same day. Mmmm burgers + watermelon sound yummy. I was watching a cooking show the other day + they grilled watermelon. Never thought of doing that. Have a great day!

  5. I'll be thinking of you and your appointment today. I'mnot thinking about going through photo albums yet, although I've scanned quite a few of my old photos. What I have to go through are lots of papers and lesson plans, plus I have more documents to chew up.

Hope you get some of your chores done. Me, I'm still winding down. I keep finding these recipes I want to try!

  6. Praying your mammogram is clear! I need to get mine scheduled.
Your supper sounds good - nothing liked a grilled burger! We're having that on Friday. I think I better get a watermelon too, now that you mentioned it. :)

  7. We're spending the 4th at a hillbilly festival event thing. I hope it's fun, not too hot, and not storming! On Saturday we're going to a cookout/ice cream social. I haven't had a grilled burger since the burnt one I got last summer at another friend's cookout. I hope this one beats that one! LOL

  9. Yes, I hope the mammogram is clear also. Grilled burgers are so much better than pan-fried, aren't they! I hope you have a nice weekend, Terri. I think we're staying home and installing a new screen door. As far as the old photos go, I'm leaving that job to the next generation.

  10. So glad the knee brace is working well for you. I hate those pesky mammograms, too. My last one ripped my skin open which took a few days to heal....grrrr. Hope there will never be another issue for you. Happy July back at ya, Toots.....mwah
