Welcome to another throwback Thursday. More old photos, but these are all from the same vacation, so aren't as disjointed as previous TBT photos.
In July 2007, Joe and I joined my sister & sister-in-law and their families at Folly Beach, SC. They rented a 6-bedroom vacation house, right on the beach, for a week. We arrived toward the end of the week and stayed through the weekend. What fun we had!! Folly Beach is only a couple of miles from Charleston, so we enjoyed Charleston while we were there, too. Two years later, Joe and I rented our own house with son Joey, Darlene and Tristan, while my sister and sister-in-law rented the same bigger house for their gang. We had a blast that year, too. These are all from 2007.
This is the house they rented (both years). Nice. Very nice.
Multiple decks and balconies.
Beach view from the house.
Left to right: Dan, Greg, Diana, Patti, Kelly, Joe, Kelly's friend, me, Jo Anne, and Mike.
Diana is my sister's husband's sister. Dan is her husband Greg is my sister's husband. Kelly is their daughter. Jo Anne is my sister-in-law and Mike is her son. Got it? :)
Dan and Greg, seated, Patti and Joe, standing.
One night, we ate at 82 Queen, in Charleston. Fancy, delicious, and pretty expensive. It was a wonderful night out, though. Joe and I treated everyone, since they didn't ask us to pitch in for the cost of the house. Pitching in for the house might have actually been less expensive! Ha!
They put us in our own room at the restaurant. They must have thought we would be rowdy! Ha, again!
Me and my sister, Patti.
Since I mentioned going back in 2009, here are some photos from 2009.
A few more folks this year, than last. Niece Sara got to come with a few of her college friends.
This is the house we rented, and that is Darlene, Joey and Tristan.

Fun times and lots of good memories! I highly recommend Folly Beach, South Carolina, if you want a great beach vacation. Thanks for checking in!! Happy Thursday! Be blessed!

That's a beautiful place and it looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures and great memories Terri. Those houses are absolutely perfect if you want right on the beach and the views are fantastic as well. Thanks for sharing and hoping your Thursday is good.
ReplyDeleteI think you posted some of these photos on Multiply. I'm not a beach person any more, but would enjoy a walk on the beach at night. If my family were to all go there, there wouldn't be any houses for anybody else! Thanks for sharing such fun times.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I have always wanted to stay right on the beach. Looks like you had a good time. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome memories! I have a friend who goes to Folly Beach every year and just loves it! The house you rented looks amazing!

ReplyDeletePS. LOVE YOUR NEW BACKGROUND! Thanks for the email..I saved it. Blessings
ReplyDeleteWow! The house is great with such a fantastic view of the water. It looks like you have some good memories.
ReplyDeleteWhat a crowd...the bigger the party the more fun to be had!!!
ReplyDeleteWe ate at 82 Queen in May. There were six of us and they seated us in a gazebo in the courtyard-so pretty! We went out to Folly Beach one day too, because my daughter's future in-laws were staying in a house there. We've done the big house rental with other families in the Outer Banks of NC and always had a great time. Looks like fun happy memories on your tbt!
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures. So sweet seeing you and Patty looking so happy. Two of the nicest ladies around! Great throw-back
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time. I have an old college friend who lives near there. It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a great idea. I would love to do that with my family. Thanks for showing your pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great place to rent! Please don't give me a quiz on all the names and relationships of everyone though. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSure looks easier than camping in the woods like I do.
