Don't worry.....
“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).
Are you a worrier? I used to be, but learned to just give it to God. I really don't worry anymore. I don't. It is wasted emotion. The time spent worrying about something could be better spent moving on to fix whatever you are worrying about. Not to say I don't get anxious or stressed now and then, but I really don't worry about stuff anymore. It is freeing.
Back to work, after a very lazy weekend. Looking forward to a fun July 4th weekend and celebration. Do you have any special plans? Wishing you a blessed day and week!!

No special plans..just a bbq with my brother inlaw, and then going to watch the fireworks.I try not to worry..it sometimes doesn't work. (smiles)--Blessings
ReplyDeleteNo big plans for us either. I have to work on the 4th so we'll probably just grill at night.
ReplyDeleteI try not to be a worrier, but sometimes I still do. :)
I am way better at controlling my worrying than I used to be. My husband is the exact opposite. He never worries and he always calms me down and puts everything in perspective. I do believe that handing your worries over to God is the absolute best. I will feel a sense of peace come over me as soon as I start praying about whatever I am worried about. Have a terrific week, Terri!
ReplyDeleteLike Kris, I don't worry as much as I used to, or I try not to. I would be jealous about your long weekend, but I've finally finished my classes and hope no one asks for an intensive summer course. Hope your first day of your short week goes well.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm much better than I used to be about worry. When I think of what can happen in a situation, I remind myself of the things God has seen me through in the past and leave it with him.
ReplyDeleteWe are having two of our grand kids over and will watch the fireworks over the lake behind us.
Happy 4th!
I'm not a worrier, just take it as it comes and work from there. We're having a rummage sale over the 4th. Lots of summer folks milling around, equates to hopefully lots of lookers. This is what we call 'phase 2' of moving to the northwoods. Two years ago we had a big sale. This spring we are downsizing some more and getting rid of things we haven't used or thought about for two years!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't help worrying about some things b/c I don't know whether I should be doing something and what that thing I should be doing might be!
ReplyDeleteWe are going to Mountain Rest, SC for Hillbilly Day. It sounded fun. :-) Then Saturday my daughter and I are going to a cookout and ice cream social. So for there will be 3 middle age parents and 5 teens/young adults. I hope more people RSVP! But if not, more ice cream and hamburgers for us!
I learned a long time ago that worrying changes or fixing nothing. I either do what I can to make things better or trust God to take care of it. No plans for us over the weekend. We stay home and try to keep the dogs from being so frightened of all the fireworks and to make sure our home is not burned down. We have had many fireworks land in our yard and on our home over the years. Hope you have a wonderful 4th weekend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI used to worry a lot but I don't anymore either. Maybe being able to let go comes with age and wisdom? AA also helped me a lot too.
